I had heard earlier that it was going to be Bobby doing it alone. It was scary enough to contemplate a Shatneresque reading of the Star Spangled Banner from Weir. Just got an email from Dead.net that Phil and Jeff Pehrson will also be doing it. I dunno--maybe they can an pull off, but this is a VERY difficult song to sing that has challenged even the best singers. Jerry, Bobby, and Vince did a great job in the 90's, but that seemed like a better bet than this lineup. We'll see.

Good thing they don't allow glass in the park.................

No, not because Phil might shatter it during "and the rockets red glare"........................drunk people drop beers all the time and that would be dangerous for children.....

I saw Bobby, Phil, Vince & Donna do the anthem to close down Candlestick for the Giants. It was great.
May the four winds blow you safely home.........

The classic Jerry, Bob, and Vince is apparently ell respected among non-deadheads but other musicians. They had some really, really cool and different harmonies going on.

JK should definitely be in on this with them...

They should sing the Canadian National Anthem. That's what pranksters would do.

Especially, when performed in Canada at a hockey match.

Gives the chills
