What an incredible show!
Totally enjoyed the great playing and energy from the band, especially in the second set:

Music Never Stopped
Help on the Way
Slipknot
Franklin's Tower
Viola Lee Blues
St. Stephen
Drums/Space with guest didjeridoo player)
Wheel
Cosmic Charlie
St. Stephen Reprise
Viola Lee Reprise

Truly amazing, especially since several of the band members were recovering from laryngitis.
Night after night, year after year, this band is incredible.
Wishing you all safe travels and good health.
Come back soon!!!

The Casino was lit up! Always a good time here but last night was high octane from Lisa's first note to Eaton's "thank you and good night." the whole show was a highlight but special mention has to go to the Drums with the dijeridoo and the sick sick sick jam into the Viola Lee reprise. Absent friends were missed.

That wasn't our original plan, however, Jeffs voice is still on the mend and rather than blow it out we decided to take the safe way. WE LOVED IT!!!!!!

Elective sets are what the Grateful Dead was all about , makes me wish I was there and for Friday also ... the band members of DSO are all pros and always give their best especially when a band member is under the weather ... I remember Rob E was having throat issues last year at the Wave House , he hung in as best he could and the rest of the band rose up and made it a grate show ... so it seems like the proper adjustments were made and the show went on , a lessor band would have called off the show , but , DSO ROCKS !!!

hey all! Brady here and just wanted to give my input on the show. It was a magical night from start to finish and the energy in the room was almost too much to handle. I didnt think I could dance one more step by the end and when they kicked back in to Viola Lee....i lost my shit and boogied harder that I had all night.

So much beautiful dancing energy and amazingly good vibes in the place. DSO is great for all the people who actually experienced the greateful dead community with Jerry....but I think its even greater for the young heads (including me) who never saw Garcia. The community is beautiful......you can be a nerd and talk dates (Bill you know what I'm talkin 'bout!!!) or be a part of the spinning energy in the dance of life.

Oh and the Wheel was cosmic..

and the Cosmic charlie.....

and the stir it up opener was butter

Everybody keep on dancin....you are really making the world a better place

i too was slightly disappointed to get an elective setlist again tonite but its understandable given the illness. My voice being totally shot from a cold i can't imagine how one sings at all. BUT i will never complain about a show like that, especially the second set for the ages!! Being inherently skeptical when bands change musicians, MNS was evidence to my ears that Mr. Mattson has arrived and this band will continue to blow my doors off. The dude flat out *smokes* as did the rest of the band. Countless peaks all throughout the 2nd set. Viola reprise, i'm asking myself 'how much farther can they take this?!' Just a relentless build and an amazing payoff. They broke me, i was completely spent by show's end. Crowd energy was off the charts too, really cool.

Couple asides. The guy silently wandering thru the crowd with the minilight, shining the GD skull on people's backs and heads, WTF! My GF turns to me and says DON'T MOVE. umm ok i'm thinking, turns out she was just setting me up as he shined it on my bald spot haha, thx babe. Dude was def enjoying himself.

Also, a scary moment between sets as we stood at the railing to the left of the stage. A young girl in green t-shirt blacked out flat on her face right near our feet. THWACK!! Still have the sound of her head hitting the hardwood. Must have been out even before she started falling. Gosh i hope she's alright, by the size of the egg on her forehead she'll have one mean headache today. Lets hope that's all it is.

Thanks DSO for a grate jumpstart to the summer!

Just want to say thank you for the amazing experience I had watching you all play this weekend. Hadn't seen DSO since Northampton last year and it really seems like you guys just keep getting better and better. It isn't often that my mind is blown REPEATEDLY over the course of 2 nights, but you guys truly have something special going. And it wasn't only the music --- the energy and excitement in that place, everybody smiling ear to ear, grooving and getting DOWN. Reminded me just how lucky we are to celebrate this wonderful music.

Thank you.

that is the truth, barraco and jeff were asked in an interview what phil told them he wanted musically from them...there answer was that he didn't tell them what he wanted ,he told them what he didn't want and that was he didn't want them to sound like the grateful dead..also word is that barraco was asked to leave because he sounded too much like a grateful dead keyboardist...how lame!!!!
