I think Santorum is too far right to be elected. It would be an interesting election, with Obama on the far left and Santorum on the far right. All the folks who consider themselves in the middle would feel like ping pong balls. Not sure which side of the net I would fall on.

I truly wish some one would explain to me what happened to the GOP besides money in politics. Growing up I remember the GOP being instrumental in the passage of major Civil Rights and Great Society bills.
Nothing to tell now, let the words be your's, I'm done with mine.

Compared to Clinton, he is far left. Wild Bill would be perfect for this country right now, too bad he has served his 2 terms.

Even Nixon with all his faults wanted National Health Care and started the EPA.

It might be a good idea to elect somebody who is good at accumulating wealth, rather than someone who is good at giving it away, since we don't seem to have any.

Dude, really? By any rational measure, he is the most Left wing President we've ever had. But, I suppose where one stands depends on where one sits and it may appear to some that his gluttony for statism is middle of the road. A-OK by me. One must realize, however, that by any mainstream or widely held standard he's a hardcore leftist.

Herdy's right, LBJ is an example of a leftist President.
