Congrats John! This is so exciting. I can't even imagine what it feels like! Please everyone join with me on prayers that they bring this to the east coast.

Funny side story. Last year at Allgood, during the end of the Ratdog set we were fairly close to the side stage, where the Benevento/ Russo Duo was to play the next set. Ratdog ran pretty late, past their scheduled time anyway. You could see the guys from the Duo getting pissed that their time was being cut into. Then Ratdog finished, and the Duo starts playing immediately. But after a few seconds, Bobby comes on the mic and says "Hold on a second there fella!" And the sound is cut to the side stage. Of course, it's Bob-fucking-Weir, what are ya gonna do? But the guys from the Duo were pissed! Joe Russo actually threw his drum sticks and stormed off the stage. It was so funny. Just one of those moments that you feel like maybe you caught, but not everyone saw what was happening. So it's pretty funny that now they're playing together. Anyone else witness this?

Thank you all for the warm response!!! The rehearsals were f*cking incredible!!! I flew out on Jerry's birthday...was supposed to have dinner with the whole band that night but Joe couldn't make it till Sun... the first song we played was Playin in the Band... probably played 35 songs over 4 days... 5 more days of rehearsal ahead before the September shows... And then... ?
