  1. And I was at the Hampton, va show in 86 when they busted it back out. Go listen to an audience tape of that show. Still gives me chills to hear the crowd when they see Phil step up to the mic.

  3. So, this Anthem show is a recreation of 6/09/73. Set list that night includes box of Rain. They put it on the shelf the following month, on 7/28/73, never playing it again until 1986. One of the last times played before going into hibernation for thirteen years. Pretty cool.

  7. So the last 3 double deckers ended with originals but the previous 6 ended recreations. If we keep going back I’m sure an exact pattern will occur. Let me run everything through my cray supercomputer and I’ll spit out the setlists for next tour. Cant wait for the low spark bust out in Philly lol. The gf being of another generation is unfamiliar with traffic so had to play 20 songs for her yesterday. It’s been 20yrs since I dug deep with traffic and it brought back memories of Lexington in my early 20s. I also realized I knew almost no lyrics from low spark. Better get more familiar 😂

  8. I am not a gambling man but if you look over the last 2-3 years at the double header concerts it appears heavily weighted to a recreation on the second night 1st night is 15/9 elective/recreation 2nd night is 10/20 elective/recreation That puts the 2nd show at a 50% greater chance of having a recreation But it’s still a 50/50 chance they will or won’t play an elective on saturday. Lol.

  10. I played Low Spark with Phil and Warren as early as 99. I sang it with Phil and Friends in spring 2000. It became a staple of the Q in fall of 2000 with Warren singing. It was also a staple of The Zen Tricksters when I was a member as early as 89 with Mattson singing

  11. This was a really fun show. I had some trepidation about being here because it's the place I saw my fav show ever last year with the epic 68 recreation. Ie: there was really no way to top what I had seen last year. But it was easy to get my groove on to this unusual set list that really offered something for everybody. The black throated wind was just sublime, Eaton killed it. I love that song. Ramble on, all over now and day job, while somewhat cookie cutter songs we're played in a rippin style and had the crowd getting down. Awesome. The whole second set was killer opening with the HSF just got us all lathered up. Great dance group running into some surprise friends!!!! The upper balcony was pretty open. Pretty nice venue overall. Good sized crowd, seemed full but not over packed. Good Northern Lights IPA from Charlottesville on tap for 16oz at fucking $8, fuck.i was sooooooooo jacked for that Low Spark, and to be teased, fuck.. haha it was fucking awesome. The hey jude that ensued was outstanding with barraco Killin the keys. Good to see everybody and have a great sweaty dance party, that's why I come.
