    It’s an all day thing rude.

    And I’m on the floor but may only come for last two bands. I hope there is reentry

    Email from the event organizer:

    "Hello everyone, We are reaching to inform you on an update for this show Sundays event.

    We normally do not allow ins and outs for our events. However, since this is an all-day show as well as the fact that there will be over 30 vendors on main street right around the corner that were going to be vending at the event that was cancelled, ins and outs will be allowed until 6 pm. Once it is 6 pm there will be no more ins and outs.

    Also, just a reminder some of the rules we have at all our events. 1- While you are allowed to bring 1 small and sealed bottle of water. Any big water bottles sealed or not will not be allowed. We also do not allow any metal water bottle, flask, etc. of any kind into the venue even if it is empty. 2- Outside food will not be allowed in the building at all. 3 - Marijuana (and other drugs) are prohibited inside the building.

    We look forward to having you all here this Sunday.

  2. Set 2: Sand (20), Tweezer (26) -> My Friend, My Friend*(9) > Mike's Song (9) > Lifeboy (10), Weekapaug Groove (7) > Blaze On (10) > Fluffhead (15)

    Encore: Farmhouse (8), Run Like an Antelope (10)
    Notes:

     Visuals were great but the U2 video production was clearly better.  Not a knock from me - Phish just didn’t go nuts with theirs.  Sound and performance were both excellent .

  4. ....for Anti-Trust violations.  Wow ! Sounds great, right?  What a headline!  Down with Cartels!  I'm no sage but here's how this is likely to go:

    The case will be heard in 2026, any unfavorable findings will be appealed. In 2028, instead of Live Nation being broken apart, they will agree to establish a 10M fund as reparations to the ticket-buying public.  After the attorneys get their cut, you can choose to receive a check for $7.26 or receive it as a $10 credit for your next Live Nation ticket purchase.

    Boy - I sure would love to be wrong on this one.

  5. Scheffler is indeed on a heater - Tiger Woods kinda batting average lately.  Masters was a bit anti-climactic given that his closest pursuers decided to add some crooked numbers to their cards which made the last 5-6 holes feel more like a coronation, than a competition.  As long as Scottie is putting well, it's lights out for the rest of the field.

  6. Here’s a list of performances for those acts making lemonade out of lemons;

    “Skull & Roses was a fantastic festival and we were lucky to play there many times. The festival and its fans deserved a much happier ending,” said Moonalice’s Roger McNamee. “We think the right thing to do is give folks who had S&R tickets free entry to our shows on April 18, 19, and 20.”

  8. Small sample-size gra8fulpair, but the debate may not be a debate for much longer 😁  I listened to 4/29 again last night and it sounded technically perfect and still blistering.  In it's totality as a show, I think 4/29 edges 8/6 based on quality of play and breadth of song selections.  But the rawness and rowdiness of the 8/6 HTH wins by a nose in a photo finish.

    While all of 8/6 is worthy of mention, The Cumberland, HTH, and most importantly: The ~28M segment featuring Truckin > Drums > Other One > Me & My Uncle > Other One is simply lights out.  Right there with anything they ever did up to that point.

    My honorable mention HTH is 6/21/71 while the grateful dead were on holiday in France (an obvious harbinger of E72).  This version is fantastic in it's own right.  Here's an video excerpt of the show that's pretty cool:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KWbzmRBU6Lg  All hail Voodoonola 🫡 unless he's a jerk in real life

  9. 4/29/71 - height of their powers ?  Really close.  That whole Fillmore run was a masterpiece or a masterclass - same difference.  HTH epitomized that in spades - no denyin.

    If we just talkin about HTH, then you gotta put 8/6/71 in the final.  Do not pass go.  The 2 Heavyweights.

    One aspect I will concede would be Pigs delivery.  He was not well at the time - and while 8/6 is still wild and wolly, I’ll give 4/29 the nod there.

    Jerrys licks?  You take those 2 shows and you got some of his best stuff encapsulated.  A literal push in my eyes.

    The difference that puts 8/6 over the top?  Atmosphere.  That recording with the crowd reacting and then playin the band? It’s a fucking Time Machine and It’s some of the best vibes ever put out with crowd reacting in time!

    That aspect is the veritable royal flush that trumps your 4 aces

  11. The band has some self-described 'Big News' coming down the track and July 8 is indeed an open date on the RR Event calendar.  Not a bad way to top off DSO's Colorado 'residency' in July.

    what’s wrong with Lafitte 55 ? 😉

    I wish all of you were there the last two nights. From my seat, it doesn’t get any better. More like a fine Burgundy, though 😉

    Stick with a vintage Burgundy instead of hitting the harder stuff - Dylan’s advice

    Unless it’s the real, real pricey stuff, often too sweet for my delicate palate

    Has DSO ever performed 3/21/93 Atlanta show? What a wild one!

    It appears they have not - They've done 2 1993 shows since Jeff joined, but did 3/20/93 twice during the JK era.  All tolled, DSO history contains 43 recreations of 1993 GD shows.  Surprised it was this many but after 3200+ shows, there's bound to be more of everything than you think.  Tomorrow never knows doesn't really do it for me although I do like the trippy dissonant aspect of that song
