  1. I saw Sierra Ferrell there for NYE a couple years ago, sold out, and there was plenty of space even with the floor and mezzanine levels packed and no one bowling once the show started. But I hope its perfect for the band and for your dancing needs. The last time DSO played Madison theater in Covington, KY, it was so packed and oversold I literally couldn't move or dance and I thought it was a deathtrap, so that is kinda the standard measure i use
  2. Great to see you last night! The Burl is becoming a hot spot to see BCE. Great to see you. (also good to see 2Muchfun at the Born Cross Eyed show in Louisville last week at the Whirling Tiger)
  3. lol I thought it was plenty of space for a “theatre sized” room. have a good time
  4. I’m not going to the Nashville show, but I did see Dinosaur Jr and Sierra Ferrell at the Nashville Brooklyn bowl. I enjoyed the venue. Lots of floor space…

  6. Yes, that's a good Rooster. Unique, lively, and a great lead into a fantastic China>Rider. The Rider has got balls. My favorite listenable tape of this show per my notes is this one: https://relisten.net/grateful-dead/1980/08/19?source=338443 All that being said, my favorite show from this week is from the Saturday before it, August 16th. The Grateful Dead played the Mississippi River Festival at the Southern Ill. University in Edwardsville, IL, and its fantastic vintage 1980. It's raining hard at times (You can hear it bounce off the microphones during Ship of Fools), but it doesn't dampen the fire hot energy of the band and audience, and every song you expect to ignite and smolder does indeed, but the highlight for me is definitely the red hot CC Rider>China Cat>Rider. Joni Walker's aud is the best to capture the vibes: http://www.archive.org/details/gd1980-08-16.SonyECM250.walker-scotton.miller.88959.sbeok.flac16
  7. Yeah, I concede, you are correct
  8. He also played Dixie Chicken. Anyhoo, here one of the willins: Phil Lesh and Friends • 1999-10-22 (02:39:25) • The Fillmore Auditorium, Denver, CO https://archive.org/details/1999-10-22.paf.bk4011.unknown.26775.sbeok.flacf
  9. I toured full time 1997-2001. Those were my high volume show years. On Phil fall tour 1999, he busted out Willin', Fat Man in the Bathtub, and Don't Bogart that joint several times, as Paul Barrere and Billy Payne were part of the band. I don't think he played them after that. Those were magical times
  10. officially ready for the Jubilee, please come promptly
  11. I see roughly 5 shows a year. May I be the enemy you need to unite behind
  12. I'm going to reserve a room for you two to work all this stuff out together. I'll stock the fridge, don't worry
  13. But I don’t know anything and Europe does seem like big news
