I have no expectations of commiserating or return on my expression. Do with what is your hand. coronaviruses mutate and a COVID-19 “vaccine” for lack of a better word doesn’t promise eradication like a polio vaccine.

Yeah, tell that to the ladies here who lost their almost full term babies that my father autopsied with placentas riddled with clots and hemorrhage due to Covid infection. 💔💙

I heard 2 already recovered. must have gotten sick on like Monday...For the 10 day thing... True Story: A 21 year old unvaxxed caught Covid19 on the day he was going to be inoculated. Day 10 out with little symptoms prior, -- sidebar- too easy to fall into the trap of starting to do the things --------------unknowingly before you are ready-- his pulse ox drops to 86% saturation. He was hospitalized and treated with antibody therapy, too late for antivirals. There for 5 days!! Once I had pneumonia, like full fledged abscess in my right lung 3 months after opening my solo practice. I ate copious amounts of pineapple which has bromelin that is spectacular for lung health. A 32 oz can a day- haha! It took me 2 months to recover. Given to being busy, I had to learn to slow down. Ah! there is the silver lining!

I'm thinking it was UJB->Sugar Mag-> Drums (beat boxing by new crew member- fantastic btw- the place was jumping!)-> Space-> Terrapin Franklins. E: Werewolves-> Sunshine Daydream What a fun run! I haven't that much experience with JK on guitar. I do think Jeff is a more psychedelic guitar player. However, JK has some very interesting original licks that take you to new places. Great chemistry was happening. Skip and Barraco were on fire, playing off one another and was delightful to watch. Nathan from Graham Lesh's band had great, solid rhythm. Drums was solid but didn't twist my snizzle quite like Koritz and Dino can. Eaton is such a great showman, strong vocals and not pitchy. I will say. Don't let complacency set in. Wear a mask to filter viral loads, though the virus is miniscule. Definitely, 1 person had a mask on. I'm guilty of letting my guard down. 14 people beside me at the shows have since tested positive with covid.

And!!! Promised Land ended 2nd set. Fun times! This one required me to dig kind of deep. Literally an 11:30 - 3:30 show for me after traveling. But I’m a sucker for good dancin and Colorado. “Doctor called me crazy, some say I am, some say I ain’t. “ No Melvin Seals. He wasn’t able to make it and they dedicated Moonlight Moonlight to him. Nathan a drummer from Midnight North filled in for Jay Lane, on call for DeadCo, What a difference a couple of months make in seeing live shows and restrictions. How far we’ve come because of the vaccine. From a 250 people maybe in April to 700? Grateful.
  14. I saw a clip of St-> 11. It was tight and a musical smorgasbord. Evident was there are consummate musicians playing our favorite music. Wishing I was close by and in attendance.
  15. 7 things that affect your vibration frequency from the point of view of quantum physics. Vibration in quantum physics means everything is energy. We are vibrant beings on certain frequencies. Every vibration is equivalent to a feeling and in the world "Vibrational", there are only two species of vibrations, positive and negative. Any feeling makes you broadcast a vibration that can be positive or negative. 1ST - * thoughts * Every thought emits a frequency to the universe and this frequency goes back to origin, so in the case, if you have negative thoughts, discouragement, sadness, anger, fear, all this comes back to you. This is why it is so important that you take care of the quality of your thoughts and learn how to cultivate more positive thoughts. 2TH - * the companies * The people around you directly influence your vibration frequency. If you surround yourself with happy, positive and determined people, you will also enter this vibration. Now, if you surround yourself with people complaining, gossiping and pessimist, be careful! Indeed, they can reduce your frequency and therefore prevent you from using the law of attraction in your favor. 3TH - * the music * Music is very powerful. If you only listen to music that talks about death, betrayal, sadness, abandonment, all this will interfere with what you are feeling. Pay attention to the lyrics of the music you listen to, it could reduce your vibration frequency. And Remember: you attract exactly what you feel in your life. 4TH - * the things you look at * When you look at programs that deal with misfortunes, dead, betrayals, etc. Your brain accepts this as a reality and releases a whole chemistry into your body, which affects your vibration frequency. Look at things that do you feel good and helps you vibrate at a higher frequency. 5TH - * the atmosphere * Whether it's at home or at work, if you spend a lot of time in a messy and dirty environment, it will also affect your vibration frequency. Improve what surrounds you, organize and clean your environment. Show the universe that you are fit to receive much more. Take care of what you already have! 6TH - * THE WORD * If you claim or speak wrong about things and people, it affects your vibration frequency. To keep your frequency high, it is essential to eliminate the habit of complaining and bad talking about others. So avoid drama and bullying. Assume your responsibility for the choices of your life! 7TH - * GRATITUDE * Gratitude positively affects your vibration frequency. This is a habit you should integrate now into your life. Start to thank for everything, for the good things and what you consider to be bad, thank you for all the experiences you've experienced. Gratitude opens the door for good things to happen positively in your life.

Goes to show you don't ever know! As I sit here reflecting on the weekend and thinking forward to the next, I feel so happy when I get to see my favorite band and people. You never know how things are going to unfold. I had been planning on going to Bonnaroo with my daughter, camping in my Westie, and made preparations for such activity. Alas, the hurricane has made it a mute point - damn- but unknown of course, I came to Asheville early on Thursday for the loveliest time and then picked up my van freshly serviced. A relay switch had gone bad not allowing it to run or charge via shore power. I was understandably freaked!! My Hurdy Gurdy girl is running like a dream now. Parking brake tighten. She has power. All fluids checked and changed as needed. sigh..... FlairBlair and his wife brought me back up and I was stoked to make the shows. It meant however after a long week of unblinking mental focus I was ready to relax into the weekend. Friday was the perfect warmup for this show!! The second night was where it was at. Truly, I felt a part of the magnificence that 1977 delivers. Thank you band and crew!! After the confinement of the Louisville rows of seating, the Salvage Station was a blessed and welcomed change. I had the freedom to unfurl my wings. Food trucks lined the riverside and I munched through a taco before the elements or the start of music could persuade me otherwise. Oh man! HSF!! I literally was munching the last bite down and dancing in the eaves. The band was hitting all cylinders as powerfully as they ever have. The transition got funky and It was musically dense. Minglewood roared as Eaton commanded the lyrics. Tennessee Jed, Cassidy and TLEO were tops! My dog Jed Clampett reminds me of the loveliness of home, a Grateful Dead family home of my early years. My early GD family formed much of who and what I think today; where I had high hopes they would be there, circumstance of their elderly parents kept them away. The death and birth of Cassidy on the heels of summer's close. The sycamore trees have started looking a little browner than green. TLEO was much enjoyed and I took in Loser from the edge and Jeff sweetly delivered the hopes of one looking for a break, one more chance. So then as MNS erupted, these older ladies danced so gleefully. It was why I was called to the edge- to watch their merriment was everything. High stepping, the whole place erupted and it was a groovy get down. The second set continued to sound musically dense to me. All the members were showing what excellent musicians they are. Jeff sang with such heart. Sugaree was dynamic. Jeff wielded the guitar powerfully and the drums... so good. Eaton owned Estimated like he does. Lisa singing on Estimated beautifully delicate and lovely. Barraco's hands moved so fast, as he literally was bouncing off the keys, I watched them blur out. Otherwise, Barraco simply ripped up the 88s and laid them back down again. Skip dropped bass bombs all night. The dancing stage right was everything I want for when I see DSO in Asheville with the dance troupe from Philly. I don't think I stayed still enough to catch a virus, but my Birkenstocks stretched a half inch lol ( didn't get the chance to change shoes preshow) and my feet looked darkened as a week's worth of sun from the dust until I washed them; I gasped with disbelief. I'm still sore haha but it is a sweet soreness and tiredness. It was wonderful to see all my friends I've met and grown to know over these years. 8 now! I love you all dearly. Words fall short to describe this show and fail to express what you all mean to me. love you!! mean it!!

  22. Asheville is masked up with the delta variant wreaking havoc. here is the Salvage Station covid policy. https://salvagestation.com/covid-policy/ all this stuff aside this girl has out her boogie shoes. I’ll take whatever the download is, even if it’s Queen Jane. The Salvage Station has a great vibe. The river close by is a plus. See you friskers in hours….
  23. Yay! Let’s dance it out in Asheville!! Pisgah is still closed to music but the Salvage Station is open! Holds about 2300 people. Outdoor venue ( also indoor for winter) Uber is best to get there but there is parking. Tickets on sale Friday this Friday 7/23 at 10 am
  24. My only question… Brian, we’re you barefoot? 😂 My heart sings for you both. Congratulations! All good things in all good time…. 😉I can’t help but think of our conversation so long ago in 2014. And love walked in the door. Blessed rising brother everyday.
