  1. That’s right! Lots of the kids were there as it was “Dead and Co Eve”… they brought the energy for sure!
  2. BOSTON MUSIC HALL - NOVEMBER 14, 1978 The Wang is the old Boston Music Hall and you could feel the bands pleasure playing this recreation from the very same room it was originally played. Absolutely stunning theatre. I couldn’t have asked DSO for a better local return. Boston shows at the Wilbur were fun, but the venues don’t compare. The Wilbur is tight and crowded, discriminates on deadheads, and lacks the space and sound we crave. I’d love to see them play the Wang again in the future. Missed my forum friends but there was an epic dance party in the red carpeted hallway at the top of balcony. Passenger, Estimated Eyes, ship of fools, wharf rat, and GDTRFB personal highlights. GDTRFB was just silly good… so much fun. Got my first “piece of my heart tonight”. I am “on call” which starting at 11pm so I was sober for this show… pretty sure first ever. I danced more than I ever have AND saved money! Everything about this night was perfect, including not running into my ex who first brought me to shows (lol) and hanging out with my cat now as I rest my bones. ❤️❤️❤️ Sugaree El Paso Candyman It's All Over Now Loser Passenger Stagger Lee I Need a Miracle Bertha Good Lovin' From the Heart of Me Ship of Fools Estimated Prophet Eyes of the World drums Wharf Rat Not Fade Away Goin' Down the Road Feelin' Bad Johnny B. 3. I have a ticket for the show this Saturday but won’t be able to make it. I’d be happy with $20 for the ticket. Will transfer thru Ticketmaster. Hope this helps someone looking! 🥰
  4. Hey! I'm in in the North Shore and planning to go to shows. I'm in Marblehead and can drive in to Cambridge tomorrow to pick up the tix if still available?! I'll send you a pm now. Sorry to hear you caught Covid. 🙏 You're so kind 🙌🤗
  5. I'm so sorry for your enormous loss, Rick and family. Hold on to the beautiful time you had together. Sending love and strength.
  6. Time off request, as a courtesy, submitted for Richmond, Norfolk, and Penns Peak! Excited for some shows. I know we all need them.
  7. Elton John put on an amazing show at Gillette this past Wednesday night. He sounds as good as ever. He stood up and thanked the crowd after every song. It felt special to be there and experience such a legend live.
  8. See you at Hampton Beach. I booked a room at Regal Inn, has decent rates right now and just behind venue. Just behind that lovely inn that directly faces the police station! Amazing that they never bothered any of us staying there despite shenanigans. Looking forward to seeing you, Whit, and the girls soon.
  9. Sounds like a great way to spend a Friday the 13th! I'm sure mine won't be as fun as I'll be working (RN) and if it's anything like working a shift during or near a full moon, we're in for chaos. 😳
  10. I land at DCA just after 12pm. Looked like a short uber/lyft to venue area but now wondering if this convoy will get in the way of that convenience. Luckily won't be on a time crunch. Maybe the metro is an option... Unfamiliar with the metro in DC. If I can handle the roads and subway of Boston, I'm sure I'll be able to navigate but if anyone has advice please share.
  11. Wow Omg This is SO exciting. I'm speechless.
  12. If you're willing to sell separately, I need one for myself. No worries if not, just figured I'd help if I can. Thanks.
  13. While The Band is being mentioned here on the forums, I'll share that there is a phenomenal tribute band for The Band that I have seen twice now. They typically play the NorthEast but may venture for festivals and such. http://www.thethebandband.com/
  14. I was thinking it was The Bands The Shape I'm in... I wasn't there so idk
  15. Thanks, Tea. Would have loved to be surprised and have caught that one. I wonder if there is a recording...
  16. Not quite, and Gladys was performing with the ladies and the concert wasn't billed as Gladys Knight and the pips. More like the Jerryettes... as an old friend calls the ladies of JGB. Grampy is simply a romantic and her music holds incredible meaning for him and my late grandmother. 57 years of marriage & a love for music that was shared! Doesn't get much better than that. I am trying to get him to a local dso show or melvin and jgb next time they come our way... He loves JGB. He had the local VFW add the dead and JGB the jukebox after I played both for him.He is worried there won't be a place to sit as he enjoys hearing my stories of DSO shows and all the dancing and desire for space, so he has an idea of what audience set up is. We will make it happen though. I could set him up in a seated area and venture back n forth ☺

  19. So glad I made it. Fun show with a great crew holding down space. Highlight for me: Samson & Delilah and Terrapin. It was hard to stop smiling!!!
  20. I know it must have been special for the band to have Bobby on stage with them, but I wish he would have let Jeff shine like we all know he does.
  21. Wow, looks like an amazing time. Bob Weir made a guest appearance? Unannounced?
  22. Foxboro is now Gillette stadium. Go Pats
  23. Ah, I understand now. Yes, I'd imagine nothing compares when you are expecting and in need of the original show/ performer. That's pretty cool she made sure you were well taken care of!
  24. Wow, I am surprised to hear Helen Reddy had you leaving 3 songs in. I was only 5 y/o in Feb 1997 but have come to love Helen Reddys music and story as an adult. I've watched live performances and was impressed. She strikes me as a performer with a minimalist approach to the stage, just about singing, not all the extras. Alas, to each their own! I am curious to hear more about how she was live when you caught her.
  25. I would LOVE to hear Lisa sing "I Am Woman" - Helen Reddy.
