  1. So looks like Birmingham Chattanooga and Atlanta are a go. This could be it until after the baby so let's make it count boys. Giddy up!!'
  2. We had to cancel due to Whitney's pregnancy. Islandgigs refunded our deposit minus and name change so that may be an option for these guys.
  3. Georgia might be putting together a run like Bama did maybe even a greater run. They going for a three pete. Bama never did that. Now back to Bama. What the fuck is going on Tuscaloosa. I may be a Bama hater but that haterade stems from the consistent excellence Alabama displayed week in and week out for 15 plus years. They looked poorly prepared for this game. Lacked focus. Something that even in losses you never really said about a Nick Saban coached team. Yes they won but what an underwhelming and uninspiring victory. Down 3 to USF at end of first. Tied at half. Come on. I'm not trying to trash USF too hard but they aren't in the same stratosphere as Alabama. Alabama has some real questions/problems at the QB position. Really tough to win football games with out at least consistent reliable QB play. Fortunately for them, we have college football free agency and some teams end up loaded at QB so NFL quality players end up transferring. Maybe the Manning boy leaves Texas for Bama. Who knows? I don't see next years QB on this years team. Now on a different college football subject, how bout Coach Prime and the Buffs. So I get off my flight from Philly and decide to grab some sexy pizza on way home from airport. I hadn't even really been following the games today. Yesterday my brother got married so we've been traveling for the wedding and we spent the day at Smith Memorial Playground and Playhouse in Fairmount Park on Saturday cause our flight home wasn't until 820 PM. This place was one of it not the best park I've ever taken my kids too that didn't cost money and start with theme water or amusement before park. Stuff for all ages. Both kids had a blast. All right. Aside over back to football. I get out of the car at the Sexy Pizza. I hear some raucous cheers coming from a bar across the street. Joke to Whitney that bar is hopping. Still no clue what's going on. But they got game on in sexy pizza and I finally put it together. CSU is up 11 with like 8 minutes left. Just sacked shadeur sanders. They look like they got game in hand. Sanders gets enough yards back on the next play for the Buffs to convert what looked like a pretty easy field goal. But they down 8 with 7 minutes or something like that to go. I still have like an hour drive to get us home from airport so I don't actually stop to watch game but follow on my phone rest of way home. They get pinned on the 2 yard line with a touch over 2 minutes left. Things are still looking pretty good for CSU. I trust my team to hold them or force them to run out of time in that scenario most of the time. And hell they have to score twice really cause they need the two point. Sanders takes them 98 yards for the score. Converts the 2 point. Buffs win in double overtime. Sanders has got to be getting some Heisman love for sure. And if the keep winning and he wins the heisman this will definitely be one of those games and one of those drives that defines that heisman run. Crazy how that game went with all the drama leading up to it. CSU almost knocked Deion sunglasses right off his face but instead Deion is left smiling hat and sunglasses on, triumphant.

And oh ya, that Dolphins Chargers match up was fantastic entertainment. That's what I've been waiting months for. NFL week 1 delivered. I need 24.7 points from Josh Allen and the Buffalo defense tonight. I'm projected to win but definitely nervous. Fantasy keeping Monday night suspenseful and must watch for me.
  5. With the new transfer portal crap, who knows if that class is intact when it matters. Freshman aren't going to win championships. I'm sure Bama will be okay but it's like what happen to Sunday Tiger in golf. There was a time if Tiger had the lead entering Sunday it was over. He knew it. We knew it but most importantly, the other golfers knew it. The were so engulfed with the mystique of Tiger they forgot to compete. Bama used to win their games before they started. We was afraid of big bad Bama. Now that's Georgia. We not scared of Bama anymore. If we a top 40 team, we now believe that if we execute and play our game we can beat Bama. They now have to win games on Saturday. They gonna have at least 2/3 losses this year. SEC ain't no joke.

I want to know what happened to the giants. I know the cowboys are good but the giants laid down on their back and let the cowboys have their way with them. I mean whispered in their ear do anything you choose.
  7. I know Bama had a 2nd half lead but seriously, Texas played a complete game. Had game in control from the jump. They looked to be classed above Alabama. QB play wasn't even close but what really blew my mind is Texas control the trenches on both offense and defense. Ewers may be moving up the draft charts.
  8. Bama just isn't Bama anymore.
  9. Whitney and I taking kids up to Jackson hole this weekend. Gonna do 2 days in the Tetons and one day Yellowstone plus a final day do a float trip and some of Jackson hole fun things for kiddos. Can't wait.
  10. Just did Niagara Falls before leaving area. I'm headed to bears picnic now.
  11. The wings are fantastic. But I was referring to the last JK DSO show.
  12. Just drove by the town ballroom. Getting wings at Gabriel's gate. If you don't know the significance of the town ballroom then you just don't know.
  13. I love you brother. I know I'm not that guy for you or even really in the circle but if you need to chat give me a call. I know a little about life being a dumpster fire at times. Also pretty good at seeing the beauty in the pain and the light shining in the dark.
  14. I don't know man. Sometimes child I can't tell you this too shall pass.
  15. Took awhile for the plan to come together but we are in for summer jam through bears picnic. Gonna be fun. Kids will be with us at festivals and 2 of the shows with us. We are excited. Also getting a few finals days at the family beach house before we sell it. So extra special trip.
  16. If it's the same guy that ran the ledges back in the day, ranting is kind of his thing. One year he went on and on about how his wife and her boy friend were living in his house.
  17. We loved the area so much we going back with the kids Labor Day weekend.
  18. Does anyone remember when DSO played Mishawaka and closed out the night with werewolves. We howled the entire shuttle ride back to the campgrounds.
  19. This was one of those not to miss shows. I know you all know what I'm talking about. One you feel lucky to catch one it hurts a little to miss. Don't gets me wrong you can't live life worried about what you miss but even just looking at the list sometimes. I'm like damn Whitney we picked the wrong weekend to miss or we should've stayed for the Monday night show.
  20. Night 2 was a monster show. DSO elective touch all eras some real phenomenal takes on some early stuff especially the alligator. I'll see if I can get the 2nd set posted tonight.
  21. Gonna drive out into the Tetons tonight and park somewhere to stare at the stars.
  22. They got good beef in Wyoming
  23. That looks pretty tasty. Miss all of you and love each and every one of you. So many memories. So much learning. I know I do like every weekend but I had to miss these. Excited for Jackson hole. Hope to see some of you there. We can bring that old school community feel back. Brian isn't the only one that misses it but it's not gone. It still exist in a big way. It's in each and every one of us. We can choose to express it and live in it. I've always felt privileged and honored to be apart of what is a subset of the GD scene known as the dark star family. It's truly a community. love is real
  24. There was a good group of like minded individuals at the jubilee this year. Black Mountain was definitely a special time. I miss the ledges the most. But good things come and good things go. Always more memories to make and more good times to come. Peak still has some of that old school like minded vibe.
  25. I loved the song selection night 3 but every night had their moments. I especially loved the energy from the people I know night 1. Night 2 the energy dipped a little bit. I think night 3 was closer to night 1 but night 1 still had more of that jubilant energy. That's contagious make you want to shake your bones spirit. Needless to say these are just my perceptions and maybe my projections. Maybe my energy was lower. But you could feel people shedding some of that negative energy that builds up in every day life. The stress. The sadness. And embracing the joys of being alive and being loved. Night 1 definitely brought that magic for me. So many smiling faces twirling around.
