Perfect timing as this is now the honeymoon for my wife to be and I. Booked a room this morning, garden view suites are all gone so went with the ocean view. I would take Rob E's advice and hop on it fast. Can wait to party with you all.

Damn. The more people I see signing up for this the more I am tempted. I think in the end ill probably just blow my load on west coast tour and other little adventures. I'd rather go to 12+ shows and travel up and down the west coast then go to three or four and stay in some resort. Sounds real classy and all but a big part of the whole thing for me is traveling(in a car)and seeing different places. But damn it really is tempting, and it's not like it would sink my ship to put down that 500$ right now. Sigh.....restraint....

If it's not gonna "sink your ship", then come!!! You're young, you're free! Now's the time, my brother! Do it all! West coast, east coast, road trips, resorts! Do it while you can before your wind changes. Besides, Doug and I would love good company on our Philly flight:)

anyone investigated airfare from east coast? I'm seeing $600+ (inbound. then another $600+ for outbound). Perhaps I'm looking wrong. That would be $2400 for airfare for wife and I. Hope I'm off.

Aaron - be all that you can be...now is the time past believing.

Those air fares do look pretty daunting; something doesn't seem right there. But there is almost a year to figure that out.

sheesh. I did look just out of my own curiousity to see what it involves flying from SFO and of course you can't book that far out right now but I think it was like 600-700 RT coming from the west. I bet you can find something much less.

talked to someone who flew to jamaica last year from jfk and got airfare for like 350 on jetblue for a direct flight. not bad. get em early enough and i dont think airfare will be too bad. layovers are annoying but can make the price cheaper too if needed

A song that for me totally embodies the relationship between two incredible talents that speak to one another thru their instruments. They both really shine in this one. Heard Jeff do it last year, I think Atlanta, and he fucking killed it.  Makes me emotional to hear Jerry sing it during this era. He was awesome.

I did both those jgb merriweather shows, alpine and poplar creek. Horn hat AKG 460's > dbx224(battery converted) >d5. The dixie at merriweather, the lonesome at Alpine and the let's spend at poplar were choice. Heading to Louisville this weekend for Uli jon roth , closest thing to hendrix I've ever seen. My first deal was when jg opened for fz August 1984 in Chicago. the studio version is a good listen.

I love this song. I love the record version, and I love how it changed over the years. There were more than a few hot ones in 1983-1984, then while always good, it seems that 1989 brought out extra hot ones again. I love this one with JGB, its a toss up between this one and the Alpine Valley shows from the summer which I like best from that year.

    • The Motorcycle Song -- Arlo Guthrie

I once bought a kitten and he just kept meowing and meowing. He talked quite a bit. Then I started stringing up my guitar that evening, and he came over and started pawing at the frets, meowing meowing meowing. I looked at this overly talkative creature who was now trying to play his dad's guitar, and the name was obvious at once: Arlo.  12 years later, he still talks a lot. Love Arlo Guthrie. Such a unique and funny personality. Have seen him a few times. He always puts on a great show.
