Summer tour plans

Summer tour is approaching. Just curious who's doing what. Mines a little thin but here's the plan so far:

Springfield OH

Indy

dead and co x2 at wrigley

blsfk mountain x2

i eventually gotta get the gf that ring, but my epic tour year has delayed that. She's chosen excursions over the ring so far as I said we can skip Berkeley, jazz fest, Boulder and a few more and u have the rock. She smartly chose excursions as we've made amazing memories with some of the best people on the planet, but she does everything I want to do and is the person I want to spend my life with, so its time I do that soon.  I keep credit card balances at zero now or it would have been done plus trying to show her that a cute ring can mean more than a stone with no resale value, but if it's what she wants, this is something that will get done. It's why I'm skimping on summer tour and if fall tour is no where close it will get done before Christmas. It's funny that I have no issue with a 3-day weekend anywhere in the country but buying things now seems to be such a waste of money lol. I'm not sure if I'm messed up or enlightened. In my own thread I can't even stay on topic lol.

Indy is only for sure for me. And only because i bought tix before it rescheduled. A stand alone Wednesday show is pretty much my worst case scenario. Springfield the day before helps and is a possibility but im running short on time off and funds and oldest starts college in the fall. Black Mountain my be sacrificed, but if there is any way possible, I'll make it happen too.

For some, the road just goes on forever.  I plan to be active this summer but I am making some life adjustments so we shall see.  The first four are definite.

6/22 Minneapolis

6/27 Springfield

6/28 Indianapolis

6/30 Kansas City

7/1 Eureka Springs. (Hard Maybe)

After that nothing totally set in stone so a lot of maybes, but I’d like to ride:

Hampton Beach through Black Mountain.  I will clearly skip some of those.  I love that venue in Maine.  2 days at the beach sound nice.  2 nights black mountain a must.

I just have to say it makes me so happy that Black Mountain is a gathering place for so many of you-  right in my backyard!!

Literally because this year that's where we are all tenting.

I'm respectful don't worry. Urine has never killed anything, except pool happiness. My buddy tells me oh his kids rarely have to pee in real life. I'm like they literally haven't left the pool in 5 hours. U expect me to believe they didn't pee?  Feel free to ask for advice how to smoothly transition off topic. I'm a pro.

"The Muslims go to Mecca. This is where the white trash of New England goes..."

That shit is hilarious! My family and I vacationed in that area when I was a kid (up into Maine) and it has gone through some changes in 50 years, but then so have I. Bill offers an informative and colorful perspective.

I've seen my share of shows there, and am looking at doing this run for the fun company. It also includes respects to Tara. Calendars are being reviewed and choices weighed.

Umm i thought Hampton was sort of cute.  The beach and boardwalk are in good shape.  We had an amazing lobster roll for breakfast.  Plus $100 hotels 300 feet from the venue and beach are some of my favorite things.  And the Casino ballroom is a great venue.  Tons of room even in sold out shows.  Just don't drive if you care if they breathalzye or search you because that beach road is 50% cops at night.  They hate everyone.  The police station is the nicest building in town so that tells you a little.

You are right about the people though.  I said it Bostons version of the Jersey Shore.  It was 69 degrees on the beach last year after jubilee, but every girl was in a thong and they had tats that ran up their side from thigh to shoulder.  Plus this thong chick was playing football next to me and she dropped literally every pass and had to bend to get the ball.   Im not complaining but was definitely trashy.

This hacking is getting ridiculous.  Better lock chucks account.  Whoever is on it said they are looking at doing the hampton>cape cod run, unless hes not hacked and Chuck fell and hit his head and is concussed and thinks this is 2008.  In that case we need to call paramedics, stat.  But, regardless if its hacked Chuck or concussed Chuck, I like the new CV.

If it was the CV of yore I wouldn't even be talking about whether or not I might go. It literally went without saying that I'd be there.

Just remember that going to shows is that much less money you will be taking to the grave. Keep that in mind.  U can take it with u like the pharaohs in the old days. Gotta pay the teller off in gold. Trust me. He's got a price. Hunter just didn't negotiate hard enough. I'm the best teller negotiator you have ever seen.  He will be bought and sold. Don't even get me started on women making u prove your love. Fans in lions dens?  Is that similar to the guys version where u say I swear it won't hurt that bad baby. If u love me that will prove it to me.

Kevin picked his last song as a regular member of DSO. It's really special, and a big moment in the history of the band. First and only time I ever heard Eaton say " Shut the #%@! up" At least from the stage anyway. Everyone pretty much listened. Ernst filmed this.

Speaking of the road. These guys and gal will be hitting it soon. I know how hard that's going to be so soon after laying their brother to rest. I'm sending all the healing energy, love, and light I can to them.

I can tell when the band gets pissed about talkers. I can recall a handful of shows where the crowd was dead quiet and those are special times. Surprisingly in New Orleans night 2 the crowd was awesome and Jeff took death dont to a whisper and there wasn't a peep in the house. It was fantastic. Never heard Jeff get that quiet before. In a room of talkers you can't get that quiet singing, but in silence he can take that song to an unamplified whisper to create that much more of an impact when the crescendo happens. We got a silent Stella in Iowa city and a silent chimes in portland. When you get that special moment, you always remember it.
