The pictures of the text of the message from The Dead that accompanied the album samplers are priceless. It reads a bit like a Grateful Dead Almanac of today. Let's catch up with what all the band members are up to! Among other concepts they talk about an optical pyramid to store and play music - maybe they weren't too far off on that one. This missive really puts you in the mind set of the Dead world at that moment of early '75. And it was one of uncertainty. They'd stopped touring and weren't sure how or if they'd resume. And they assure fans that the Grateful Dead movie will be out by Christmas. Ha! The fucking thing practically bankrupt them.
