Fuck yeah! I dreamed of going to see the dead in a tiny field with all the fairy and rainbow clad ladies and as I pulled up me and this chick hand jived out “wake up to find out you are the eyes of the world!” From our cars. But then some awesome black dude came on to open and he was keys and rapping and it was awesome.... lol.

wish we were there. Happy bday to my tour buddy! Hope he don’t get kicked out on his bday this year hehe.

All our friends are there this year cause no fest up there same weekend this time, unlike last year when organic smiles was happening.

Still out adulting- will be back in a big way ASAP.

The lost summer of hospital tour 2018.........

i love y’all more than words can tell!!! Post some reviews!!!

kiss kiss

Another grate night at Hampton Beach!

Always a fun scene and the band really seems to enjoy playing there.

Enjoyed it all well enough but the real epic highlight for me was the:

St Stephen/MNS/Drums/Space/MSN/St Stephen/Morning Dew

Brilliantly crafted and played.

Found the magic, power and joy.

Mind blown on that combo!

Ready for Round 2 tonight...

Without looking it up I'm, going to say no. Wouldn't surprised if they did Gimme Some Lovin -> ballad -> Gold Lovin though

That 1st set is cool in that it could almost be a non-elective.  I'd even believe the Foolish -> Box closer, but not in combination with the Midnight Hour opener, which might not have happened post Saratoga '85 which of course was a few years before Foolish showed up.

Anyone see people recording? Would love to hear this one

There is a recording of this concert up on the archive. I also recorded both nights and will get them up on the archive as soon as I can figure out all the computer stuff involved.

Much appreciated! Big shout out to people like you who tape the shows so those who aren't able to attend can still enjoy them

Hardpan, great recording. Esp since it's your first effort! And sml, listen to track 19/space. Tomorrow Never Knows tease comes in around 1:20 and builds for the next several minutes. (What was the foolish heart you suggested I listen to?)

It’s time that sml started live streaming the shows. It does require a smart phone but that’s it besides a tripod. It seems sort of selfish to do all the shows(besides the south) and not share them with the world. You need to work out a Betty thing and get patched in but we’d take aud if not. Share your gift with the world sml. There are so many dead songs that talk about giving to your fellow man. Don’t be the rich man in his summer home saying just leave well enough alone. And don’t rebut by saying most dead songs are about murder. That’s true but there are many that aren’t. Just do it. I even have an iPhone 6 I’ll donate to you for this cause. Gps!!!!! Internet!!! Porn for those lonely nights in the car!! This is the smart phone triumvirate. Be sure to balance the 3 like a triumvirate would. Don’t pull a Caesar(only porn). Use the device for good!!

It can even be that old phone you retired and does not have a sim card...just uses the wifi.    I've done it a few times thru Mixlr for John K shows using an old Iphone 4, an external battery (because the original is worn out) and a small external microphone that actually sounds good.

Peace and Love,

Doc

I once bought a kitten and he just kept meowing and meowing. He talked quite a bit. Then I started stringing up my guitar that evening, and he came over and started pawing at the frets, meowing meowing meowing. I looked at this overly talkative creature who was now trying to play his dad's guitar, and the name was obvious at once: Arlo.  12 years later, he still talks a lot. Love Arlo Guthrie. Such a unique and funny personality. Have seen him a few times. He always puts on a great show.

A few years ago I had been in seriously deep dark depression.  I was essentially a walking dead.   The various chemistry the several doctors gave me did nothing. Then one day this song came on the radio…I had not heard it since my hippy days many years ago when we would sing it around camp fires, festivals and occasional church meeting.   Hearing this song broke me out of my depression illness.  I came alive again. Peace and Love, Doc

Arlo was in Atlanta about a week ago. It was a very good show with his daughter, Sarah, and son Abe in the band. I've been fortunate to hear Arlo many times over the years and frequently play his CDs in the car.  The last couple years his shows often start with "The Motorcycle Song" as a video cartoon played on a big screen before the band comes out for the last chorus.

TR, very cool you posted. I'm a big Arlo fan. Saw him about 91 or 92 play at Queen's College in Charlotte. It was a school theater holding about 500 or so people. He came out in tattered blue jeans, holey t-shirt, and barefooted. Just came to the front of the stage and sat down on the edge with his feet dangling. I don't even remember him using a microphone. He played and told stories for a couple of hours, including the motorcycle song. What a great memory that is for me. Thanks for taking me b
