I live on the same river. It ain’t the ocean. It’s hot as balls then.

Saw my only Cryptical at Riverbend. Also only Dead & Co.

Same river here in Evansville...Rude is literally forced to deal with both our shit.

Looks like it is either the former Annie's or very close to it. A couple miles from Riverbend

Hopefully they'll mix in Springfield again while in the area

Man. I saw Dso at Annie’s years ago. I mean like over 10. I’m getting old.

Same here. We were so much younger then, we’re older than that now...

I dig how you are embracing being an old timer, MC. Im

looking forward to seeing a touch of grey in your beard...mono color is fading out of style fast...bring it on.

So looks like on July 1st there is a gap in Springfield's free summer concert series.  On the PDF it leaves space where it looks like a show could be added without having to redesign as well as a note additional shows to be added.  Guessing DSO wouldnt announce this until Jubilee was mostly sold or even after if they are playing there.  Thats my guess.  Plus I dont think ive seen a tour end on a friday and this one does at this point so maybe a July 6 show somewhere.

I feel like something between Maine and Atlantic City may be coming too.

Actually looks pretty solid for me. Need to really look it over but I see 10 plus I can make on the summer dates.

That venue in Maine is huge. 8200 capacity.

I should make Bold Point Park. Venue on the water looks cool.

Virginia Credit Union Live is huge too. 6000 capacity. I should make that one.

Closest show for us in the Pittsburgh area is about 4.5 hours away, either the 6/30 Sylvania, OH or the 8/2 Rochester, NY. In fact there seems to be a pretty big void, kind of a big circle jetting off the southeast side of Lake Erie that swallows up Columbus, Buffalo, Cleveland, & Pittsburgh. Kinda strange, seeing as they played Canalside (Buffalo) the last several years, if I'm correct.  Stage AE in Pittsburgh has seen summer shows as recently as 2017.  I would love any addition, including a return trip to Springfield, OH as Rude mentioned.

Regardless, the Jubilee is a given for me - and I'm SOOOOOO thankful that this monumental annual event is only 3 hours from me.  And I can probably swing at least one and *possibly* a couple more other shows this summer.  Still hoping for those additions but I will find a way to get enough DSO dosage! 😄

The jubilee I think kind of makes it so Columbus, Pittsburgh, Cleveland kind of not in the cards. I’m actually a little surprised by Ohio gigs within a few months of Jubilee. Feels like Springfield is gonna happen but I haven’t asked anyone and I don’t know anything.

Last year we had to trade all other Colorado gigs, usually like 6 to 8 a year for the one Red Rocks. This year the promoter letting us have a couple more around the gig.

Looks like Knoxville, Cincinatti, Sylvania, Hampton Beach, Bold Point Park, AC, Asbury Park, Richmond, and Black Mountain are a go. Some logistical planning still in the works and I don’t see many wild cards that I can add to the mix but I bet we catch at least 10 of those. Springfield would be a wild card or if they do a Saturday gig after Aurora if they went West could be a wild card. I could catch Iowa or Nebraska but I doubt that’s the way the cookie is gonna crumble if it crumbles at all.

All you need is July 6 Des Moines, July 7 Kansas City, July 8 Hays Kansas and you will be home on the 9th.

A song that for me totally embodies the relationship between two incredible talents that speak to one another thru their instruments. They both really shine in this one. Heard Jeff do it last year, I think Atlanta, and he fucking killed it.  Makes me emotional to hear Jerry sing it during this era. He was awesome.

I did both those jgb merriweather shows, alpine and poplar creek. Horn hat AKG 460's > dbx224(battery converted) >d5. The dixie at merriweather, the lonesome at Alpine and the let's spend at poplar were choice. Heading to Louisville this weekend for Uli jon roth , closest thing to hendrix I've ever seen. My first deal was when jg opened for fz August 1984 in Chicago. the studio version is a good listen.

I love this song. I love the record version, and I love how it changed over the years. There were more than a few hot ones in 1983-1984, then while always good, it seems that 1989 brought out extra hot ones again. I love this one with JGB, its a toss up between this one and the Alpine Valley shows from the summer which I like best from that year.

    • The Motorcycle Song -- Arlo Guthrie

I once bought a kitten and he just kept meowing and meowing. He talked quite a bit. Then I started stringing up my guitar that evening, and he came over and started pawing at the frets, meowing meowing meowing. I looked at this overly talkative creature who was now trying to play his dad's guitar, and the name was obvious at once: Arlo.  12 years later, he still talks a lot. Love Arlo Guthrie. Such a unique and funny personality. Have seen him a few times. He always puts on a great show.
