Forum MVP chuckvegas Posted August 17, 2019 Author Forum MVP Report Share Posted August 17, 2019 At the age of 12 in '67 I saw The Dirty Dozen and The Trip within a short period of time. In a way that made for quite a duality of tone. Both had stars that went on to be not just counterculture icons but have shown staying power for more than a half century. As examples of the times they made an impression and reflected, not to mention helping to accelerate, a cultural shift in Hollywood and the broader American culture. It was an interesting time. Taper Ron
My first Peter Fonda movie was "The Wild Angels" Shortly there after I bought my first motorcycle (1948 Indian). In retrospect it was a terrible movie, a long way from it to Easy Rider, both of which were a strong influence on my life.
Forum MVP Greg from Chestertown Posted August 21, 2019 Forum MVP Report Share Posted August 21, 2019 ‘Dirty Mary, Crazy Larry’, musta seen it a hundred times. I think it was on HBO when it first started. They just kept showing it over and over. Of course, as a young teenager, the blonde had my attention more than Peter Fonda. Still, a fun movie with a surprise ending.
