Very nice place to see a show, despite a "House of Rules" mentality. Awesome BBQ Chicken Pizza! Try it sometime. Anywho, first three (Cold Rain, Jack Straw, DWolf) had me thinking '78.. but I was wondering what that organ was doing out there. BTWind determined the show's originality. Basically the first set was REALLY well played; I would almost give it downright SCORCHER status. The Passenger and Samson were absolutley rockin! Nice to hear You Lied and Cheated (Next Time) and And It Stoned Me. Very very strong beginning.

Second set filled had some times where the tires were spinning.. spinning.. spinning.. but as soon as they started to grab the band took OFF! That closing Terrapin jam was a neverending opus. Ok, well it did end, eventually. Swear I heard a little bit of Low Spark of High Heeled Boys and then New Potato from Barraco and John right at the end of Space. Highlight for me might have been the Playin's that sandwiched a nasty Alligator. Gimme a triple Playin over a solitary one ANY DAY, even if that solitary one is 45 minutes long. Playin was MADE to weave in and out of a set as it sees fit. During Tangled Up I thought the tires were spinning in the mud until the solo/jam where everybody actually just went NUTZ!

Our wonderful Cameron substitute seemed to enjoy himself mightily the whole night long. When these members of the Good Ol' Grateful Dead particiapte in our little experiment (Donna, Weir, Healy et al) I feel so satisfied and vindicated and proud. Anyone remember the Bootsy days on the old board, and the other times like it?? I still find it hard to believe that there are actual occasional heads that do not enjoy DSO, but I have to say, I haven't heard of any for a LOOOONG time.

Can't truck up to Buffalo, but will be spacing my face dauntaun in de 'Burgh demorrow. See yinz guyz dere! :) ['scuse the Pittsburghese, please]

We were downstairs and I only saw one guy escorted out. We were pretty busy dancing, though. The cop did warn everyone before hand and we did "see" plenty of descrete activities going on. The key seemed to be being on the lookout for security.Great show, being from MI we haven't been to a show for about a year,so it was a real treat. Peace
