Lyrics that invade your mind
Greg from Chestertown replied to Ammagamalin Crew's topic in Random Thoughts
Within every Hunter song is a couple of lyrics that are words to live by, Bobby songs too, Black Throated Wind comes to mind. Dylan lyrics too. Their cover songs that stand the test of time also contain lyrics that are words to live by. That’s what makes a show work. You shake out the angst by boogieing your sneakers away. Your head gets filled with words you need to hear. So, yea, they all invade my mind. -
93/09/13 The Spectrum, Philadelphia, PA Set 1: Hell In A Bucket ; Jack-a-Roe ; The Same Thing ; Stagger Lee ; Black Throated Wind ; Dire Wolf ; Let It Grow Set 2: Scarlet Begonias > Fire On The Mountain > Playing In The Band > Dark Star > Terrapin Station > drums > space > jam > Easy Answers > Days Between > Good Lovin' Encore: I Fought The Law One of the better later shows I attended. Thoughtful first set Jerry selections. Pre drums a Big Man showcase, despite a brief (5:33) Star. Tubular Bells hints during space. Strong Days with superb outro jam. Spent the show third row Jerry side, complete immersion. It was 33 years ago today. Praise DSO.

NFA sandwich with all the feexins’ DSO on a fall night in PA, on the river, you can’t go wrong. Strong show with some nice surprises. Venue was great, lots of room. Bar menu could have been better, but the weather was perfect. Hope DSO runs it back next year at this venue!

Boy, I really needed that ! Hadn't seen DSO since Jamaica 2025. From the stage set up I figured either 2 drummer, Donna show, or Original. As Show progressed I felt 77' show. Bingo. Really well played and great sound. Only downer was very humid, muggy night. 10 song first set , Cassidy thru set ender Deal, sweet. 2nd set was a Burner. Guess my next show will be Jamaica , 2027. Oh, filler was Sisters & Brothers and ??? We split , had 2 hour ride home .

Bittersweet. The Boulder theatre > Red Rocks run were the first DSO shows my twin brother and I ever saw together. Laughter and Tears ❤️ It was also the last time I’d see him alive. Now just tears

We are gonna fly to DC for this 11/21 show. Will be my maiden voyage at the Anthem. Promises to be quite festive.
