I was there last night , awesome show , I was surprised that the seating was like it was , but I upgraded to a luxury suite and I couldn't be happier with the seat , the sound was very good there . Now however I do have an issue with wind creak events center , back in 2014 I got busted there leaving with cannabis after a wailers show , so I was expecting a lot of security , but not nearly as much as there was , two tiers of security and police at the entrance , a bit off putting , but I had no issues (thank god for dart pods lol.). I know they are very cannabis unfriendly there so that is always a thing to consider going there , but I wouldn't miss this band in my home town no way , and I too love the peak , but last night was a real good night never worth missing.

I also passed on the Bethlehem show due to the way the venue was setup and pricing. It's only a hour away from me. I opted to go to the Freehold, NJ show (2 hrs.) on Saturday. Got a ticket for $30, GA outdoor venue. It looks like Wind Creek Casino does setup some concerts as GA all on the floor. Not sure why DSO wouldn't be setup that way. I believe it was the 1st time they played there so maybe they'll tweak some things if they go back. The Musikfest Cafe show last year (Cornell) was packed with people so if it wasn't a sellout it had to be close to one. Not every venue can be as cool as Penn's Peak!

I don’t think punishing the band for coming to your hometown is gonna bring about the change you’re looking for. I lived in Charlotte for a long time and I suffered many years of seeing them in the jam packed, oversold Neighborhood Theater and then it finally happened. They moved to the Filmore with twice the capacity. Same thing in my current area of Asheville at the Orange Peel. A literal termite mound of people trying to get down to DSO without hurting the people around you. Years and years of that, and then it finally happened, they moved to Salvage Station with 3 times the capacity. Then hurricane helene wiped that venue off the map, but that’s a different story, haha. They now play at Asheville Yards, 2-3 times bigger than Orange Peel. Support your bands dude, no matter where they play. Things will change over time and you won’t be missing killer shows.

As much as I love DSO, I won't see them in my own hometown, Bethlehem, PA. Tonight's show at Wind Creek Casino has no pit area, all reserved seating??? Now I do like to sit once and a while but the whole show, no way! Last time in Bethlehem, they played in the Musikfest Cafe which has very shitty acoustics for a band like DSO and they didn't even sell out that rather small venue? Is it me??? Have fun tonight if you go and long live DSO, just not in Bethlehem PA! ps... Wilco played outside at Levitt (Bethlehem PA) last night, amazing show, great outside venue...

2muchfun - I haven't gotten to the Palladium yet (my stereo will blissfully come out of 6 months relocation driven storage next week!), but as fate would have it post drums Buffalo was on Sirius XM as I was driving yesterday. The body of Comes A Time was sublime, and listening to Garcia spit out a tour's worth of gorgeous high pitched notes in the outro jam was breathtaking. That'll be a tough one to beat!

The forum was unusable to me for a long time. I couldn’t post or even navigate to the most recent comments. It was messed up for so long that I gave up and deleted my shortcut. I popped back in to check recently right before jubilee and saw my issues had resolved. Lol. DSO night 2 was by a mile the set of the weekend for me followed by little feat. Cant wait til next year and hoping for a few fall or late summer Midwest dates. The Deercreek recreation last year at the park in fishers was real nice. I’d love to go back there.

Yup - it’s a ghost town now. Didn’t use to be but I guess folks have found other sandboxes to play in over the years. i watched the stream of this show and my take away now was the same as it was then: Chefs Kiss 💋 The Dew to open had end of 2nd set vibes right out the gate. It was Magik⚡️ I can definitely relate to the effect of the Dew opener. Back on 5/17, (Sunday) we were in Wilmington, NC awaiting DSO to start the show - at 5pm no less 😕 With an Elective the night before, and a late ‘72 show before that, we figured a late 80’s show was on tap - reasonable guess. The band was tuning up and we were waiting for the opening strum of Hell in a Bucket . and then a sustained strum came. BAM! A Dew! Gr8fulpair and I looked at each other with mouths agape. We had an idea what we were in for so then came the hugs 😅 we can indeed relate ⚡️

Second that emotion. Not many people posting on here , ever since Aaron left. I've tried to stay off here because, I don't like seeing my posts as the only one on here, thinking maybe i'm scaring people off, so I steer clear.

ok first off, i wasn't even lucky enough to be at this show. but i just listened to some of this one on archive and i'm still amazed by the lack of interest being shown. i'll just go straight to my two happy places: morning dew opener, which is pretty pretty pretty darn hot. lets forget if its hot or not ok. its a freakin morning dew opener. listen this isnt a 1967 show where they sometimes opened with dew. this is a "modern" elective show. i dont think after the rfk 1973 shows with the allman brothers, the band ever opened with dew again. i mean after playin that version, the band musta been confused and thought they were done. what, we've got 2 more sets, thought that was it. i mean that is a closer morning dew version. crazy. and i had to jump straight to cfmwh. that is just a sick sick version. man i wanna here wilkes barre again to see if its like that. thats heavy. and the encore: wdwdiitr / love the one youre with. come on. this show is redonkulous. gotta listen to the rest but this stuff is just nuts. and oh btw the first set-- just music-wise is 90+ minutes. a first set that ended with sugar mag/scarlet/gdtr. huh? who knows how long the set was with breaks. i mean thats a loooong first set. theres a lot to unpack there. peeps hello? who was there? was everyone just deluged under so much water that they didnt hear or realize what they were getting. unreal.
