Dude, the body of work that surrounds that HTH is unmatched by any show, combined with the absolutely surreal guitar work by Jerry and soul pillaging vocals from Pig. You can just keep your anti 4/29 rhetoric to yourself and then put it in your pipe and smoke it (cause eventually everything gets smoked). Most importantly brother, love you man!! ❤️❤️😂✌️

Holy Fuck! I’m so sorry! I had more fun than a man should. Amazing night! Not a perfect night but the faults were all mine. Shoulda eaten better beforehand and shoulda brought my regular glasses. Blind and hungry is not the best way to enjoy a show. Rookie move. Enough about me, the band is never better. Great set list made for an elective feel , at least for me. That is a good thing. I thought the sound was off for the first couple songs but they got dialed in pretty quickly. The musicians were on point right out of the gate. We were off to the side but I never stay in my spot anyway. Traveled everywhere, found the best and loudest sound was straight back from the stage. I kept migrating back to the best sound, front and center. After watching numerous people walk out of the belly of the beast with their soccer mom chairs, I moved up front for the home stretch of the second set. Saw so many people that I ‘know’ , talked to many new friends. Did I say the band is never better? They are never better. I used to rate GD shows by their personality . I would say it was a Bobby night, or a Jerry night, good old Grateful Dead, etc. I would say last night was a Lisa night. The band rocked in their usual incredible fashion but Lisa belting out heart of me was incredible. The white Rabbit filler was my first. Also felt Peggy-O, shakedown was nice. Iko was earth shaking, literally. Just a fun night. Sorry for the delayed reaction, I was stuck in the afterglow. Wake up in the morning, do it all over again.

I would help, but I never came home from Red Rocks. Remember Greg is resting today. Praise DSO.

I did a little detective work this morning after seeing that partial list posted, and the only show they ever played all those songs at was 2/4/79, so possibly that one. I saw a couple pics of the show last night, Jeff center stage with The Bean, Skip to the right with his Alembic, looks right for what DSO does for this era. Wake up Greg, enough rest!!

Last time DSO was in Bethel it monsooned and we had a great time squishing in the mud and dancing in the rain. Going to be leaving soon to set up camp, hopefully I can dodge the storms tonight, tomorrow is supposed to be spectacular. So excited, almost feel giddy like I did when hitting the road for shows! Saturday rest because Sunday schedule is fishing. Rockfish season opens back up on the Chesapeake in Md. I’m taking my twelve foot mega yacht out. Tight line!

Governer’s Island NY was storm-shortened 7/11/09 Quite a storm with a ferry needed to get back to mainland. Thought we would capsize in the revelry Remember the band quickly ended show after drums with We bid u goodnight. Keller was also there.

Man what a show. Dance party USA. Love the early Eyes and Lucy, that whole 2nd set gave no breaks. Ran into my High School pot dealer who I hadn’t seen in 25 years probably. Hugged like a long lost brother 😆🤣 he had his 8 year old daughter with him and it was just such a great weekend even with the short set fri night. Also like 90% sure I saw a cousin who I didn’t know was a deadhead with her kids too. That shit has to be in our blood at some level. I have too many distant relatives that are heads. Only 90% because the more enhanced I am the less confident I am in my ability to recognize faces. So if you wver see me staring at you with a stupid look on my face it’s because I’m trying to decide if we know each other or you just slightly resemble (sometimes not at all) someone I know. *Lisa bout took me out with that HMT what a freakin weekend man. ✌️
