  1. The closest 2 lodges made me do 3 days and we’re fairly reasonable at 260 a night. Those would be fun and would actually be a packed lodge area post show. Unfortunately can’t make it unless we get the kardashian lodge as would have no choice but to come if nothing else to poop on the marble toilet made from old Roman runes. Don’t even get me started on their bidet. It has its own Instagram page and has 1m followers.
  2. No more slumming it on tour. Book your chalet early!! I noticed most lodges are min 3 days when looking at options. 500 foot walk from lodge to venue looks fantastic . If anyone is friends with the Kardashian’s, ask them if we could borrow their 10k sq ft chalet to let 30 peeps have an amazing weekend.

Delilah was getting down. She said screw these headphones I wanna jam. A bit of negotiation later she had 1 ear With regular headphones and the other with a dancing bear acting as a headphone. at the start of Althea I thought Eaton was going to call a restart. I’ve only seen 2x where they said let’s try this again. Thought I had another. Skip had to remind Barraco it was baseball season and not football after a Bears comment so Baracco got it together and did a Harry Caray style take me out to the ballgame in set 2. The whole band played along but he led the lyrics. was such a great summer weekend. It’s still spring but for Chicago those were some deep summer weather shows. 87 degrees at showtime and even hotter on the blacktop night 1. Again the crowd got down. They adjusted the parking to make for much more room to dance. Very glad we came.

Was a great 1st show for him. Having the car there was clutch. Let meili pump and feed him in the AC and opened up his bassinet for set 2 so he could sleep. He could have probably handled a set 2 but he wouldn’t have been a happy camper. He loved all the nice people who came up to him. His head was on a swivel with so many people to check out.

they cranked that Franklin. The speakers were starting to distort at the crescendo. Meili literally plugged her ears as did a few others up front and this is someone who heads to a spot in front of the PA at Panic shows. It was that loud. I joked to barraco that they needed to turn it up a bit at set break. He laughed knowing how loud that PA was. I think tonight we are going behind the SBD. The sound was awesome there and you got a bit of air between your ears and the PA. It was 85+ at start of the show but it stopped no one from getting down. What a treat. Covid protocols are over. Security didn’t give a crap that we all packed together to groove. Plus it’s BYOB(unofficial policy). The single barrel woodford special reserve got passed around so much it didn’t survive the night. That was supposed to be a 2 night bottle. Now I have to crack the knob creek single barrel reserve 120 proof for tonight.

Half the place came up between row 1 and 2 to dance. The crowd was getting down. We actually got row 4-10 because we wanted baby to sleep set 2 but they moved us to front row so we had no choice. Baby rocked out. He loved it. There were 25 friends from all over dancing with us in the aisle. Would be great tonight if they said all cars need to park in the back so everyone can dance together. That row between 1 and 2 had prob 150 people getting down. Was super high energy. Omg the PA was loud. It was so loud that people could barely stand at the rail. The sound was amazing behind the stage at the bathrooms. It sounded great everywhere. I was afraid even with headphones baby would go deaf lol. He slept the entire 2nd set 10 feet from the PA in the car. Popped his headphones on and he was oblivious. Night 2 baby is with her parents so we can roam around. Was great to see so many friends. Really glad we did these. Parking lots aren’t ideal but this was pretty solid. Oh and the show smoked. Wasn’t much dancing reprieve plus had the baby Bjorn on all set 1. Little JT did 8k steps in that set. See everyone tonight.
  8. I don’t miss the days of getting to a town and asking the gas station person how to get to the venue. Then get closer and ask another then by the 3rd ask you find it. FYI the South Lot is on 18th Dr if you didn’t know. You can take your Waze to Waldron garage and that should work.
  9. Meili and I did a blow up queen. It was all guys besides that.Cosmic Mike Chris Ron you and I forget the last. We had 6-7 in that tiny cabin but we were dry. You brought that AC for the window that was epic and saved our ass. They did a poca show for many years after that right before black mountain but it was 1 night with a 6 hour drive. We all just got that big house in BM and skipped poca and hung out. I think a few went to poca and got back at 6am.
  10. That was a hard rain. But Poca was raining before and never stopped and they wouldn’t let us walk back as the trail had flooded and they bused us and we had 0 clue where we were when dropped off. We didn’t recognize anything. After a mile of walking we found it. Gr8tfulpair lost a travel partner for good and sunny turned blue literally. We had a cabin so we were lucky(thanks Amy!) but the tents were sitting in a foot of rain. That was my 2nd hurricane show lol.
  11. I love it. Rain won’t stop any of the die hards. We may turn blue during it but we won’t travel then say screw it because of rain. I think I sort of pissed off Mike Quarto at the mouse trap because I started bitching when they cancelled a Hyryder rain or shine show because of a shot of rain that never came after a 5 hour drive. Didn’t even rain and a rain or shine was cancelled. At least DSO plays the shows in the rain.

you made pig pen look like a hedge fund manager. I was afraid they would stop you at the airport for further screening. Luckily you cleaned up a bit before our trip or you may have gone on a watch list.

You moved to the sticks and didn’t shave or get a haircut for a year to not look like you were from the city to try to fit in in the holler and now you are putting down your people? It’s like if the Kardashians chastised someone for spending 10k on designer shoe laces. 😜
  14. Does anyone know if at the billy strings show they gave wristbands for different GA pod sections?
  15. Looks like a fun weekend. Danny tried to get us to come up b/c Joe Marcinek was sitting in with them on keys but if we were able to do a 5 hour trip we’d have done the 8 hour one to see Dso. We need to find an indy babysitter since they don’t allow babies. My only complaint is the outdoor PA they are using is insufficient. They blew out that Riverfront Live PA though lol. The indoor mousetrap PA setup sounds perfect. They did a great job getting it dialed in for indoors.
  16. I always try to hit the Green Mill after Saturday Chicago shows to see Pat Mallinger play but they aren’t doing late night jazz yet ugh. Music ends at midnight on Saturday now at the green mill. Freaking covid.... Maybe Pat will join Dso for a set. It’s been since 2015 that he played with them at that July 3rd show I think before Dead50.
  17. reversed for us.
  18. She got him some awesome dyes on lot. He’s ready to go for his 1st show. Looks like perfect weather too for it. Mid 60s by end of show. Ideal. He will likely be asleep by set 2 in the car with headphones on to not be disturbed. He’s on a strict 8p-6am sleep schedule and dont want to upset that lol. He never wakes in middle of the night so we are lucky as hell.
  19. Actually that’s was meant to quote Flairblair. But are you doing chicago bill?
  20. We have 1 extra spot in our car for Friday and Saturday for anyone we know who needs a single. Will be nice to get down with Flairblair for a show :))
  21. And me. See you in Chicago
  22. I’d see a lot of bands if they played more than 1 hour shows and had garbage bands from their label opening and wasting everyone’s patience. I’d like to see GnR. Yes They only have 1 hour of material but I’d go full on misogynistic for a bit. Wake up late, honey put on your clothes and take your credit card to the liquor store.
  23. For you cali folks. Best job ever?? Weed tester? https://www.usatoday.com/story/money/2021/06/02/emjay-california-weed-delivery-service-hiring-testing-intern/7512028002/
  24. wait. Are cargo shorts out of style??? Need to watch more tiktok to find out but it’s 99% girls with big butts dancing so I get distracted. Ok now back to tiktok.
  25. I never believe the band when it comes to birthdays. In my best DSO year pretty sure I was there for 6+ cotter birthdays. Bobby cried wolf with Billy’s birthday whenever he needed to kill a few secs of equipment repair in 80s.
