I posted about this band a few times last year.  They are all 18/19, practicing a lot & playing anywhere they can get booked.  They are based out of North Carolina.

They started out playing dead covers & reinterpretation as well as The Band, Hendrix, Pink Floyd, Phish, Goose, etc.  Theyve stared writing their own music, some live clips posted on their website & YouTube.

Check them out! Subscribe to their YouTube if you like what you hear!

Cool split on the scarlet fire , how'd that go?

Jrad pulled it off.  Like a prior poster stated, they often have wandering extended intros and then drop into a song.  Such was the case w scarlet.

Russo sounds like 2 drummers, they are all incredible musicians.  There were several teases throughout both nights.  How about Help>Slip>Elizabeth Reed>slip.

The reinterpretation of songs that are so imprinted in my soul is captivating.

Goose played at salvage station Friday night.  The jrad crowd was great fri, but there were alot more people at the sat jrad show.

    Here's a link to the 2nd night:

  8. Hello

I have 3 tickets for Richmond on 3/26.

I'm in NC & bought the tix over Christmas.   Later, Bob weir announced a Durham NC show the same night.

Now my crew bailed on me for Bob Weir & the wolfpack (understandable)

    Face value

    Let me know, thanks

  9. So, I have often heard an Other One tease during the jam crescendo near the end of Bird Song just before the last chorus.  The dead never went into O1.

These guys are finding a very good rhythm - all the space a flailer could want to boot!  Geeked  for a local band ️  It’s always a good sign when you gotta ice-up the next day

Yeah, we saw them at the Lincoln theater in December.   They were really fun & good.

  12. First post

I haven't seen DSO many times.  The first was in 1999, then we had kids and going out was few and far between.

I took 2 of my kids to see them in the fall of 2019 and had a 5 show run planned for spring of 2020 until the walls caved in.

1.5 years later, got to go with my son to this show, so it is my favorite.  It was hot and the venue was cool.  My son is in a band and taught himself slipknot earlier in the summer (his hand cramped) so it was especially good for him.
