  1. Aug 1st through Aug 11th.  Camping and music at a very reasonable price. 2 Sam Grisman project shows. 2 JGB shows. 2 DSO shows. Plus some other Grateful Dead related music. We are definitely in we may not do all of the days but we got the 11 day pass. We will set up a campsite. We will have the baby with us and Delilah. No babysitter although possibly a babysitter for the two DSO nights as we have family not too far away from there. Just sounds like a great laid back time. Any chance to camp out for 10 nights is a blessing. A great chance to catch your breath and remember how great the world is full of love and light.

An employee (late 20's - I didn't hire them) recently copied me on an email to a commercial client.  I read the opening run-on sentence and immediately tried to recall the message, but no dice.  Imagine a blog post with phonetical spelling and with more emoji's than punctuation.  Should 'damage-control' be hyphenated or not?

Quit your current job. Ask to DSo to give you the rights to sell livestreams to their shows and plug into the soundboard. Provide the initial investment to share it with the masses and set your cost and see how it goes. I don’t see a reason why not.

  3. We love ya buddy. I’m coming to Vegas for the Dso show. We will have dinner. No excuses. We staying in Vegas 3 days. Will commute to San Diego and back. Will have babysitter. So no kids at dinner and no excuses.

  4. Ya that makes it a little bit better. 1k of my airbnb was no refundable plus. Some of my flights aren’t refundable with babysitter. Like I said we still going but be nice to have that 1k back on the tickets for the next opportunity to party. Jubilee is gonna be fun but thanks for the update.

Where’d you see this? The jackass’ website still says no refunds on his bull shit letter.

  5. Last time money was tight I even had to borrow some funds to get to the end of the line.

This time we are capable of a much different trip. We still doing budget lodging the nights of the shows but on the days off we staying in hotel with a view of Eiffel Tower and a 5 star hotel steps from buckingham palace in London. Also gonna do a 2 nights and one full day in Lisbon Portugal on way home. By the water, try to recuperate before the return to the real world.

  6. Flights booked.  Gonna have to head out off and back into Chicago for the direct flights so will still need to figure out how I’m getting too and from Chicago but Chicago to Paris, Paris to London, and just to top it off London to Lisbon, before we head from Lisbon back to Chicago. Europe giddy up

  7. Possibly best day in Hawaii yet. We did a snorkel boat trip this afternoon. Got to swim with the turtles and all the fishes. Saw a monk seal. 2 whales and 4 dolphins. Kids had a blast. Such a great day. Made ribeyes on the grill at the resort. Big feast. Place is pretty amazing.

  8. We still gonna go the Ventura beach for some family time and hope Cubensis or someone pulls off some music for us. The no refund is a real punch in my nuts. He can say he feels our pain but feels like a total scam job at this point.  Collected our money in bad faith to pay off last years debts. Almost no time to pivot your 420 plans to something else. Just leaves a sour taste in my mouth. I don’t think I can go back to this festival regardless of the line up going forward. Just a total fuck you from this guy.

And I know it’s wishful thinking but I know Jerry and the Dead would find a park to play a free show in.

  9. Looking forward to skull and roses. Ventura is a happy medium between Honolulu and sugar beach. Our Airbnb has a solar heated pool.

One thing I can say for sure is my life is blessed. I have this beautiful family this beautiful music and community. Life really is wonderful.

  10. The Hawaii theater worked. And Waikiki made a lot of sense based on where the venue was. A lot of nice shops and restaurants as well. But crowded like a city. It was a city with a beach. Kids still loved it. Our rental here at sugar beach has a full kitchen and access to grills. I'm cooking most of our food here. If and I know it's a big if we pull off Hawaii again. I'd probably lean towards 3 not 5 days in Honolulu and then spend 7 days in a less populated part of the islands. But I understand the necessity of the nice theater to play in. Place sounded good even with seat we were able to find ample dance space. Shows were a lot of fun. I'll try to post some of Whitney's pictures from Maui though. Just gorgeous view from our balcony and we gonna do a luau while here and take kids on a whale watching excursion.
