Fun show. Man, I'm amazed at how this band brings it every night. We're very lucky. You can really appreciate how connected they are to each other musically after all these years. They sound like one big beautiful instrument washing over you. The venue was "meh", and had me really missing the pier. I love hanging in downtown Portland before the show and the smell of the ocean air during the show. This place was just lots of gravel with grumpy security and way over-priced vendors.

Sneak in airplane bottles of booze if you plan to drink at a show. All venues have ridiculous prices. At live nation venues I won’t spend a penny if I can avoid it. Others I don’t mind buying a beer(on top of a few airplane bottles). I also check if we can bring in sealed bottles of water and bring the liter ones. It’s the principle of the thing. I’m there for the band and they get my money with a ticket sale, but don’t want to shell out 1-2k a year on Venue concessions. Plus it’s also a principle of a being a good deadhead to sneak things in. I think many of us pride ourselves on thumbing our noses at authority to an extent.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but it's a rare filler that encompasses stuff that should have been in the original show. That New Speedway belonged before drums, and the proper Playin' Reprise belonged after space. So, creative filler! Ragging on the somewhat truncated 2nd set aside, that Reuben is perhaps the best of the 3 Dead versions.
