  2. The space had a spanish jam approach then went industrial before quieting up for the first notes of DMF. It's refreshing when Help Slip goes into Franklins and a stand alone Fantasy, not to mention the power of Days Between

  3. I realized tonight I'm a little rusty in the DSO show department, I'm really out of practice. So I'm glad I attended! The sound was really good at key locations. The crowd was pretty good, which made me happy. I wasn't able to leave Lex until around 6, so I arrived just prior to Mississippi Half Step. It was polished with all the right notes and high points. I didn't realize it was halfway through the set until they played Johnny B. Good. Chimes of Freedom was close to perfection. The slipknot was where I finally was finding my groove and it was a great jam. Weirdly enough, the Feel Like a Stranger "may" have been the best ensemble playing of that song I've seen the band do. It was really strong. I really enjoyed the Sunshine through the rest of the set. The Sunshine gives me the grooves that I need, and the gentle jam as Sunshine dissipated into drums was what I come to the DSO shows for. The beam & drums were awesome, the jams & space were my bread & butter, and the Dear Mr. Fantasy rocking. They band with much precision eased a transition into Days Between instead of Hey Jude, and that may be the first one I've seen DSO do, so I felt lucky-it was well performed. The Satisfaction was a great rock song and the Black Muddy River sublime. I'm always curiously fearful of new venues, but this one was pretty decent, with one exception: the alcohol pricing. Yikes! Looking forward to the Jubilee!

  12. Respectful and kind of the band to spread the shows for those outside USA. I'm sure this will sellout immediately as there are lots of Deadheads that contribute to archives and sugarmegs from Europe. I sent a few JGB 1987 Stone master tapes to a Sir Mick for him to transfer to digital and upload. the US gets it share of shows. Looking forward to tonight's event at Ovation (although the new place in Cincy, James Brady ICON music center is a terrible venue), makes me leery of new venues. James Brady ICON music center is set up for the promoters and the bands and how to extract as much $$ out of the goers. We'll see what Newport has to offer with it's new venue 🤞. Hoping to get a ticket at the door tonight🤞

  13. Now here is a tour that I wish I could join ! I can't go to the USA anymore (didn't renew my waiver), so unless we get another Canadian show (doubtful), then this could be my chance to see a tour again. Berlin is an incredible city and not to be missed (IMO). All of Italy will be amazing. Johnny Rem...I like your idea of flying to Amsterdam first. I always did that on my European work trips. Pick up while you're there and carry on with your trip

  14. This is enough to keep me up at night trying to make it happen. 25th wedding anniversary this year. "Honey, I booked a trip to Europe to celebrate our anniversary and got tickets for a few shows to see while we're there"

  15. Maybe this starts a new tradition that will lead to Amsterdam '81? Or the pyramids 78?

  16. Umm car camping. Would you guys care if boss happens to wake up and scream middle of the night. He’d love camping as we are free range parents—you know that controversial method of parenting how everyone of us fucking grew up but if you do it now you get social services on your ass. Chris you need to handle 4a-8a duty. You’ll prob be up until then anyway. Don’t be twisting my arm or I may accept the peer pressure
