  1. 22/03/26 The National, Richmond, VA Original Recipe Set One St. Stephen>Not Fade Away>St. Stephen, Corinna, So Many Roads, Masterpiece, Who Was John, You Ain't Women Enough, Broken Arrow, Bird Song> Not Fade Away. Set Two Scarlet Begonias>Fire On the Mountain, Women Are Smarter>Gimme Some Lovin'>He's Gone>Drums> Space>Low Spark>Standing on the Moon, One More Saturday Night. E: The Weight, White Rabbit. Rob Barraco's stool breaks after YAWE. Happy Birthday for attendee before Scarlet. Saturday tour closer in combination with the all powerful elective proves to be a lethal combination for a sold out venue in Richmond. First set a layer cake of delight, the St. Stephen jumping off a joy. Later material lovingly delivered. Thankfully Rob Ok after stool gives out from under him after Woman Enough. Bird Song drove me to Balcony hall for unlimited space and the pop back into NFA a nice first set bow. Called the Scarlet>Fire on the Metro coming home from Anthem, it did not disappoint. After a few steps with Meili during the Women, popped Rude into my balcony aisle floorspace and retreated to the hallway. Low Spark a fully developed slinky journey. Standing on the Moon spiritual ecstasy, Saturday Nite a ripping close. Double encore the cherry on top of this monster. I spent the evening with dear friends old and new, I love every one of you. Much thanks band and crew, enjoy a couple days of rest. Praise DSO.

  2. Sold out show. Happy for the band. There was no getting to the floor. Was oppressively packed. The crowd was full of vigor. Greg Allman finally got his revenge on barraco for abusing his antique piano bench. Who knew playing the keys could be so dangerous. Luckily Rob B didn’t break a hip. It may be time to get one of those life alert systems in case you have another bench malfunction while at home playing. What’s weird is it wasn’t some antique bench. It looked like a modern professional folding one and it straight up broke and looked like was replaced by a drummers stool. Looked like it stung. We were oh shit he left the stage. We started asking who up in the balcony could play accordion and switch to Bruce style original. All kidding aside, we had a great run and got to get a break for the 1st time in a while and see 3 fantastic shows. Sort of rare to get 2 originals in a 3 show run, but to be honest we were prob the only ones who did all 3 of those. We met several who had been on tour for a while. I’m like cool did you do cincy. No man. That’s a haul. The only longer drive I can remember with no day off was Minnesota zoo to St. Louis for a 6pm St. Louis show. Needless to say I think no one attempted that combo in 2019. Meili tried to explain to a coworker why she was seeing the same band 3 straight nights. They will do completely different shows and songs all 3 nights. Yeah but they will play their hits every night right? So do people get mad if they don’t play their famous songs? It’s sort of funny trying to explain this scene and music. The dead had no hits but every song was a hit with a few exclusions like samba in the rain and dso ain’t busting that crap out. cheers DSO. See you guys at Jubilee.

  3. My wife and I are going to London, Paris and Frankfurt. Very excited. Never been there and probably wouldn’t go without a good reason like this. Can’t wait to see Stonehenge and so much history. We are doing 3 nights per city so we can explore

  4. Wasn’t at the Anthem last night but was in Richmond 11/2/1985. The Dew killed 37 years ago as well. The end of a 3 show run commencing on Halloween in Columbia SC. After this show life changed as was the last one before marriage and child. Strange as was just discussing this with Rude night before in Cincinnati.

  5. 85/11/02 Richmond Coliseum, Richmond, VA Bertha>Greatest Story, Dupree's Diamond Blues, CC Rider, Althea, Brother Esau, Candyman, Let It Grow. Iko-Iko, Estimated Prophet>Uncle John's Band> China Doll>Drums>Space>Morning Dew> Throwin' Stones>Lovelight. E: Baby Blue. Filler: Golden Road. Family gathering at our nation's capital. Even on a Friday evening the Anthem provides Julie Andrews space on the floor. First set Jerry selections lovely, the Althea especially sweet. Jerry juice continued in the second on either sides of Drums/Space-- the Dew killed. Lovelight with Kaitlin dreamy and the Baby Blue with Melli, Sunny, and Rude heaven sent. The Golden Road had me jumping for joy. Thanks Band and Crew. On to Richmond. Praise DSO.

  8. Way back in 2002, our band did a three show run at State Theater in Falls Church, VA on 10/31,11/1,11/2. The first two shows of that run were 10/31/85 and 11/1/85 (which was absolutely hammered). The third night was elective. Nice of them to tie up the loose end on that triad last night at the Anthem. Praise DSO.

  9. Interesting that they played Richmond right before Richmond. This has always been my go to morning dew, echos rippling out of a typically astounding 85 space.
