Indy and Huber Heights on radar

just had a guy at the gas station ask me what my license plate (boxrain)meant. I asked him if he ever heard of the Grateful Dead, and if he ever saw them. He said yea, once., Austin, Texas, 1969. I looked it up. If it was Austin, he musta meant 2/23/70. He said they did the coolest thing. After they were done playing the show, they set up a huge set of cymbals and the guy just played the cymbals for a really long time. He said he has seen the Moody Blues three times. I thought that was cool.

I listened to the eyes and I have to say it sounded better than I’m used to for them. I think having Jay Lane replace Billy is a major plus- sorry Bill, but you’re old And don’t really swing like you used to.

Must be nice to be able to fly 4 peeps for a 1 off show across country to Watkins glen. Unfortunately I won’t drop 5k on a weekend. As I said she has 3 weeks off a year. She was denied 6/16 off with us taking off 6/23-26 then 7/1-7/9. We do 1 day off for 2 shows. Indy is 2 days off for 1 show. If we’d known dso was playing Asheville earlier we wouldn’t have booked panic redrocks 3 shows. Unfortunately we aren’t in your situation where we fly across country every weekend to see shows. Our child isn’t ready for shows. He’d torture us. 2 hours in a car and he tortures us so we won’t torture him for our pleasure. I love dso but I won’t spend 3k on last second RT flight to Jackson hole. Plus we already booked flights ti the beach. I get that you just do dso and now do every weekend but my whole family is at the beach so that’s where we are going. My single life revolved around dso but priorities are way way way different now. I was just hoping for a couple shows close that we could maybe not have to use days off on. Unfortunately not everyone with kids can see 40 shows a year. You home schooling?

You might misunderstand: I would take DSO over all-comers - not even a debate. Dead+Co had a great night, that's it. Happy to be seeing DSO in my neck of the woods next week - it's been too long and I can't freaking wait!

Wow - that Tweezer is nutso! It's more nuanced than I was expecting and the Shreddy parts were very well done. Thanks for sharing, DD! Still feels like the difference between sex and making love but I like both - just one more than the other. I've received solid advice on such matters
