  1. 11/29/81 Civic Arena Set 1 Shakedown Street-> Greatest Story Ever Told, Friend Of The Devil-> CC Rider, Candyman, Me & My Uncle-> Big River, Althea, Looks Like Rain, Might As Well Set 2 Samson & Delilah, Ship of Fools, Lost Sailor-> Saint Of Circumstance-> He's Gone-> Drums-> Truckin'-> Black Peter-> Satisfaction, E: U.S. Blues Filler: You Ain’t Woman Enough The venue was just renovated and it looks great. I would say it was only half full. The energy was great though. The Shakedown kickoff was electric. They said it was their first time in Davenport but some in the crowd said “2003!”

  2. Never mind y'all. I found the lyric in China Cat: Krazy Kat peeking through a lace bandanna Like a one-eyed Cheshire, like a diamond-eye jack A leaf of all colors plays a golden-string fiddle To a double-e waterfall over my back Comic book colors on a violin river crying Leonardo Words from out a silk trombone

  4. that’s true for sure but we have to catch Dso when they come close and can pop an up and back yo Indy for Hyryder on a Saturday. Pretty happy to get 5 shows on this tour but 10 shows a year from Dso ain’t enough for me and that’s as many I’ll get of Dso for the next 3 years or so and maybe once a year pop a plane for dso. Life changes for me. Plus I’m freaking tired raising a wild man. At 9:30 I’m like let’s go to bed and look over and she’s snoring on the couch already. What’s funny is people think us catching a measly 10-12 Dso shows is soooo many lol. Meili thinks it’s the end of her fun days. Compare us to anyone yoU work with at the hospital and we do wayyyy more stuff. Hell most of America hasn’t gone outside a 50 mile radius of home in the last 5 years. we are the privileged and spoiled

  5. That is indeeed a fact. Im glad there are many other bands out there exploring this music and also glad that some of them are worth going to see live… And yeah, Tea,,,more DSO streams would be most welcome 😉 And more double and triple headers would also be most welcome on the tours these days,,as I’ve said many times before…but maybe that conversation belongs in a different thread 😆

  6. Cool,,see what you think,,should be a good night. I caught them Friday night and then Terrapin Flyer on Sunday night so it was an interesting weekend of two different GD bands. I had seen Terrapin Flyer once before and Melvin played with them,,but overall I enjoyed them more this time around. First set was JGB and second set all GD…kinda think overall I’d lean a bit more toward Terrapin Flyer over Zach Nugent as the jams felt a bit more sophisticated if that’s the right word… But they are both bands I’d enjoy seeing again when it lines up. However I’d say that other than DSO I’m most interested in catching some more live shows with Grateful Shred and Hyryder…keeping both of those bands on the radar for sure…
