  1. Vince is out of surgery ... Doing well! πŸ˜πŸ˜πŸ˜πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™β™₯️β™₯️β™₯️
  2. Vince we love you! Spoke with him this morning and he is in great spirits. I would think waiting is as stressful as what is coming up! I think I first met Vince and Sue in manhaim, Pennsylvania. Then became closer friends at hookahville legend valley. I remember dso doing 3 shows over 2 days and one night. The love and hospitality of the Perroti family cannot be matched. The great times at the ledges, the Jubilee and of course, the caravans back and forth from the airport to the shows In florida year after year... I know you will bounce back from this stronger than ever and can't wait to see y'all and dance again β™₯️β™₯️β™₯οΈπŸ™πŸ™πŸ™πŸŽΈπŸ”ŠπŸ₯πŸŽΆπŸ™πŸ™πŸ™β™₯️β™₯️β™₯️
  3. Please send prayers and good vibes for Vince and family. Many of you know and have been recipients of Perrotti family love and hospitality. Vince is currently in the hospital waiting for a heart transplant... Please send Good vibes Prayers and Thoughts for Vince, Sue, Torin and Cherise πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™β™₯️β™₯️β™₯οΈπŸ™πŸ™πŸ™ We will get by. We will survive

  6. Some years ago at I think maybe Boulder Theater, somewhere in Colorado I got there early and front left of stage there was a yellow line you cannot cross. I talked to security beforehand just trying to be friendly and they were very cool. As the band came on a few members waved and said hi as they walked up the steps to go to the stage. Security was very cool and I had about a seven foot by 7 foot circle to dancing alone if I cross the yellow line and security was okay with that. I even helped them keep people from putting their drinks on the stage. A very memorable night. security chased people away from where I was dancing and band did a most soulful Black Peter! The venue was oversold and I had all the room in the world. The only downside was I danced by myself and not in the tribal community that feeds off each other's energy. Great topic MC. I miss grooving with you and Whitney and others. I get your angst! I have been whipped with a woman's hair on the East Coast. Somehow they think it's okay to assault somebody with their hair. To me it's no less offensive than going up to somebody and physically pushing them out of the circle... I have also been the protector of our dance tribe at times when somebody that is so drunk they can barely walk straight comes into the circle and tries to dance bumping into people. I've explained to them that they are barely able to stand and they will hurt somebody or get hurt so please move to the outside.
  7. I'm sorry that was your experience at the show my friend. I have been shying away from sold out shows for some time now. Between no dance space and with not having a spleen I tend to get sick when packed with other people. I have had that experience and have had success with dancing on the outskirts then catching somebody's eye and pointing to myself and waving my hand towards the group of dancers then Palms up and a smile And have been welcomed in to the group...
  8. Park Stage looks like a great venue. Tickets purchased! I don't think jersey has had a 69 era show since McCarter many years ago... Can only hope!
  9. Thank you John. I needed to read this. It warms my heart to know that there are still selfless people in this world. Lately I've been seeing the self-centeredness of people communities dictators Etc. Only caring about what's in it for them and what can I get for myself and immediate circle. You are a class act! So now when I click the like button the emoji faces pop up but still got a message saying something went wrong. Almost there!
  10. "Like" Thank you John A. I have also paid less than $7 to see the Grateful Dead. Money is relative. Financially I have had feast and famine a few times in my life. I've taken many long extended vacations and I have been able to stay in nice hotels and have great dinners while going to shows. I have also made sure I had enough cheese, rye bread, peanut butter& jelly and eggs to eat for a few weeks because I wanted to go to Grateful Fest or do the Florida run. I once lost a gold crown on a back molar that had no opposing molar so I went to the jewelry store and got $90 for the 22 karat gold and went to the next three DSO shows. $ Is just $ I have found that happiness does not come from material wealth but from the ability to love myself and others, live with dignity, and find great joy and beauty in my surroundings. To look at myself in the mirror and to know I have lived a life well lived. To walk through life with self acceptance being grateful for all I have experienced, all my mistakes and triumphs, all my missed and lost opportunities, the ability to live in harmony with nature and to know in my heart I have given more than I have taken from this world. These are Priceless gifts that money could never buy! I am happy that you are doing well Rick. Since you are my friend I will share something that has enriched my spirit time and again. When financially doing very well a few years back I made a commitment to donate a couple hundred dollars a month to somebody less fortunate or to a cause. It's good for the spirit and Good Karma πŸ˜€ Most mornings I wake up between 1:00 and 3:00 a.m. with sciatic pain and I get philosophical. I think the philosophy of giving to humanity what you can is great for the spirit of anybody that chooses to live that way. Be it $, time, selfless acts etc. At times it is a difficult balance between being selfless and hoping for that miracle ticket or next opportunity. I fully support anybody that finds a mode of living that brings them comfort and peace. I could go on and on with philosophical thoughts experience and theories but I'll end this rant with Live life to the fullest and don't hurt anybody ✌❀
  11. I remember hearing a seamless Scarlet into Touch of Gray. Think done twice in July early '80s
  12. I saw Clapton in 1998 in San Jose. Nobody dancing. I had 10th row Center, amazing show! He played a small show for about 5000 recovering addicts. He came out on stage and in his British accent said "hello everybody I am an addict my name is Eric". Encore was Cocaine! The previous day at the San Jose Convention Center during the Jazz breakfast someone had walked up to him and asked for an autograph. I heard him say Sorry no, I'm just another recovering addict.. Very cool.
  13. No cutting the heads off parking meters for me Chuck πŸ˜€ I was thinking about fighting the parking ticket but I knew once I called and got a court date I would have spent at least an hour every day replaying in my head what I would say in court calling New Brunswick Parking Enforcement fascist Etc... I would be losing at least one hour of peace everyday until the court date 2 to 3 weeks away. I will just pay the ticket, you can't put a price on peace! Nicole says thank you Rick and we are very happy for you guys. Don't get Sunburn and drink plenty of fluids my friend πŸ˜€
