Great show. Loved the song selection of the first set. Positively 4th st was the highlight there. Went into the night expecting FLAS, shakedown, and HOTW. Was surprised by no PITB or Terrapin. I don’t think either got played on this run but I could be wrong. In any event, was very happy with the surprise of alligator, which included a brief mountain jam. Also glad to see I’ll be with thee and corrina have found their way into the regular rotation.

Show #200 for me and it was a blast. Classic May 77 pick played to perfection with a China>Rider filler. Yes please! Big Sugaree, psychedelic and danceable LL>Supplication, passionate LLR, tender Peggy-O and a fiery finish with Music Never Stopped. The band was hitting all the notes and the anticipation built for the Scarlet>Fire we all knew was coming. Second set was just one big jam after another, totally relentless. We missed a big second set ballad but I have no complaints given the amount of dancing that was going on. Praise DSO.

Definitely Phil heavy all night. They made a note at the beginning that the show was dedicated to him. Jerry’s sunglasses, one of weir’s guitars, and a genuine Phil sweatband were in the flesh. thought the band was hot all night. Half step, sunshine, GSET, china rider were big highlights in the first set along with all of the Phil tunes. Second set was pretty relentless. Heard a jaws theme tease and a love supreme tease somewhere in there. A+. Love my electives.

5/28/77 is probably my favorite sugaree of all time and an outstanding show from start to finish overall. i remember they played 5/26/77 in Reading, PA in a short but rare east coast March tour back in 2011 i think. really good show. fire alarm went off during NFA and it was blaring loud. the fire alarm only seemed to make the band play harder. really fun memory for me.
