  1. A stream would be most welcome indeed! Wish I could be teleported out there for that one šŸ˜‰
  2. I dig the poster too… kinda different on 2nd half of the sched with no Oregon/Washington but with the Colorado additions Well,,ol’ Uncle John used to always say if they come to you, that’s what airplanes are for…
  3. Very nifty ollin agreed jam out of space before a hard drop into Shakedown 🤠 What a fantastic Colorado run…was so thankful to have made it out for some high country exploratory boogie action and to top it off with this barn burner in Boulder for my birthday show was just ideal… Love this band so much!!
  4. You too, brother Rickster,,, see ya tonight šŸ˜‰ Yes good question…let’s make this work for Tea to succeed for the good of the whole
  5. I second that emotion 110%
  6. Thank you Ron!! šŸ™šŸ¼šŸ™šŸ¼šŸ™šŸ¼
  7. Hope to hear a recording for some deep analysis šŸ˜‰
  8. Damn…got the call yesterday…hadn’t checked the forums yet…still digesting… ouch Had the opportunity to be with Aaron a handful of times…not a ton, but enough to appreciate him and his presence whenever he was around…One time in Eugene he reached out to go get dinner before the show and we had some great one on one time eating sushi and swapping stories … he insisted on paying for it, saying that he was having a good year financially and wanted to spread it around a bit…wouldn’t even let me pay the tip. Sweet, kind southern boy underneath the Rude part,,with a lot to say and think about… It is a sad loss,,.I feel so bad for his son who now will grow up with no father,,and for Meilli to have to face this painful and complicated loss… I’m sad that he apparently had so much internal pain and struggle, perhaps isolation, that led to this tragic outcome …I hope your soul has found peace now Aaron,,you will be missed…the memories of your grin and high energy dance moves are now a treasure… peace to you, brother. šŸ™šŸ¼šŸ’š
  9. Ooooeee…Sunday night Humdinger Maximus…stoked for y’all out there!!
  10. Love the looks of that set list… sounds like it was quite a blast! ya’ll keep enjoying yourselves out there, ya hear?!
  11. Yeah that’s a curious one. Obviously countless 1st set closers,,,but a quick search on grateful sets reveals that this show was indeed the only time they ever closed a show with Don’t Ease. https://www.gratefulsets.net
  12. I vote for Tea,,he gets it, loves it, and explains it all so simply šŸ˜ Enjoy Milwaukee!
  13. Love it!
  14. Thx Tea,, Sounds like a sweet spot…wonder if this increases attendance numbers a bit and opportunity for those who haven’t been before to get in on it all at same resort location…and yet maintains the intimate vibe…
  15. Sounds awesome,,love the lovebirds set list,, Congrats Rick, Whitney, and fam…sweet moment!
  16. Haven’t seen yet but been hearing very positive reports. meanwhile I caught a couple more Garcia Project shows last week and I thoroughly dig how they tend to Jerry Band…seems like they’re getting better and better…my fav JGB band out there at this point.
  17. They first played it in February in California… In honor of Garth Hudson Great tune to add into the mix 🤠
  18. Reminder to make use of this amazing on line resource created and maintained by Count2 here on the forums: https://www.gratefulsets.net quick and easy for tons of stats and info šŸ˜‰
  19. And the filler actually started with Next Time You See Me for the quad pack filler… ’twas such a doozy… All I can say is what a gift it is to have the opportunity to visit the dreamy space where there is a fountain that was not made by the hands of men… May we all continue to be able to return there to fill our cups ā™„ļø
  20. Absolute barn burner roof blowout kinda show…kickass outta the gate and all the way through…game on…My oh my… Awesome to get Gr8fulpair and fam out in these parts for 2 in Seattle and meet his son catching his first DSO shows…he’ll clearly be heading to many more I think 🤠
  21. Out of time, so no filler Thoroughly enjoyed the stream…looks like a sweet, intimate venue at under 500 capacity… Cant go wrong with a fall ā€˜73 showā€¦šŸ¤
  22. Thanks for Chiming in Mik… Love what you guys have been up to and have caught a few of your shows in recent years and thoroughly enjoyed…looking forward to a few more up the NW next month! Thanks for getting out there and keeping that music rolling 🤩
  23. I deduce that OtherOne is referring to Garcia Birthday Band from Portland…they just played at the Crystal Ballroom to honor the 2/2/68 and 2/3/68 Crystal Ballroom shows…I bet it was fun šŸ˜‰
  24. Yeah Tea, exactly. He started the set off with the acoustic for the Dupree’s and somewhere mid Mountains switched to electric as the jam drifted toward the Dark Star…. And there was Cosmic Charlie to open the encore filler before the Hard to Handle (not before Bid you Goodnight) That has absolutely got to be the best Monday night this here sack of bones has ever experienced…holy sheesh,,Ventura got the goods in a very cool small intimate venue (640 peeps) Full throttle all band craftsmanship leading the night through the most peculiar and wondrous caverns of outer space… Skip was absolutely on fire and exercising leadership throughout the night on so many of the jams…driving the train through such fantastic old school grease pits… Skip and Barracco were dialed in together tightly and carving all sorts of new ground together and clearly enjoying the hell out of it together…Those two held down and launched out a lot of the jams throughout the night and Barraco fully brought in the spirit of pigpen to the max…King Bee…ahhhhhhhh….Hey Jude…ahhhhhhh….lovelight…ahhhhhhh Note that this show was the first of just 2 times (both 69) that Pigpen sang Hey Jude…and didn’t show up again til late Brent era. extremely thankful that our timing included this show on a Monday night after the 2 rippin electives in Del Mar and LA…back outta the game now til Seattle/portland… Thanks for such a good time down here in SoCal!!!!
  25. And back into Uncle John’s after Imagine/before world to Give… 🤠
