One of the few shows both boys will attend with me this summer. After that most shows I’ll just have one or the other. Lol

Saw Elton John at the YUM yesterday. Luke bought those tix when he was 16 and he’ll be 20 in Sept. it was postponed twice, he finally got his show. He played a straight 2:40 set no break. I was dying for set break by like 9:15but realized by quarter of ten that he was just gonna power through. He said his farewell tour is over 200 shows in, but he still has over 120 left. That’s a helluva long tour. Lol

Me and luke went to see “live at the Fillmore” ABB tribute last night. It was good. Solid show if they come round you. Been a long time and I missed seeing that music played.

Saw Bobby last night in Nashville Indiana in a venue the size of a high school orchestra hall. Was pretty awesome. He was chatty and engaging, was a real good energy all night. 2nd set was the best I’ve seen Bobby in years. set 1 music>Easy answers>music>standin on shaky ground>music Mission in the rain Ten Jed althea hard rain Mama tried lovelight set 2 Easy to slip throwing stones UJB>Supp>UJB He’s gone watchtower Wharf rat sugar mag E. They are in Louisville in Feb. plan is to go although I have to work inventory the next morning at 6. Lol so if I go I won’t be getting to wild

Went to Grateful Dead night at Redwings game Saturday. First hockey game and was just used to mask a dispensary run before the holidays 🤣😆. Lucky enough it turns out it was Grateful Dead night and there was a band “raising the dead” or something close to that before the game and I had a really good time. Good tunes, game went to OT and home team won. It was a fun trip

If I do I’ll be solo. And a game time decision at that. I’m assuming these shows will be inside?

I went to see them in ‘19 at Willie Nelson’s outlaws tour with Willie, Phil, Allison Krause, Avetts, and old crow medicine show and some others. What struck me about the Avetts was how much fun it seemed they were having on stage. And the show was enjoyable ta boot. This was the show that finally checked Phil off the concert hit list for the boys.

You definitely picked a couple good ones to come out for.

Missing this one hurts. Seeing the glowing reviews is therapeutic but I must hear that encore somehow ❤️❤️

Having a blast it seemed especially for the Charlie Watts tribute. Place was magic. Awesome people everywhere you went. Early ass 6:00 show tho. Back to Motel, showered and Luke already smashed Mexican Leftovers and in bed by 11. 🤣😆 bout to go find me some snacks. Night

We had to have gotten on the bus right about the same time because I think that may have been around my 3rd show after Egyptian Room (my 1st) and Bogarts (boys 1st) of that year. It may be my favorite show. Definitely the most unique. Lisa sang chimes and brought down the house. I hung in the balcony with my cousin and my Uncle who has since passed. Good times great show

I thought he was full of shit when he kept saying he knew the show and I should too. But he wouldn’t tell me. He wanted me to hear the Louie Louie but I kept bugging him and he broke during setbreak and told me. Lol. Every year we talk about getting the Louie Louie show in Louisville and this year was the first time they drove to the show on their own so we didn’t bring it up also Saturday happened to be lukes 40th show

Man what a show. Dance party USA. Love the early Eyes and Lucy, that whole 2nd set gave no breaks. Ran into my High School pot dealer who I hadn’t seen in 25 years probably. Hugged like a long lost brother 😆🤣 he had his 8 year old daughter with him and it was just such a great weekend even with the short set fri night. Also like 90% sure I saw a cousin who I didn’t know was a deadhead with her kids too. That shit has to be in our blood at some level. I have too many distant relatives that are heads. Only 90% because the more enhanced I am the less confident I am in my ability to recognize faces. So if you wver see me staring at you with a stupid look on my face it’s because I’m trying to decide if we know each other or you just slightly resemble (sometimes not at all) someone I know. *Lisa bout took me out with that HMT what a freakin weekend man. ✌️

I’m hoping weather cooperates. 🤞 no lightning🤞 My buddy who isn’t really a deadhead is going. When his boy was little I let him have a bandana of mine. He’s 12 now and my buddy says he sees him wearing that bandana in the yard he knows he’s listening to the dead. 😆🤣 Tonight he is taking his boy to the show.
