I saw Marcus King at the Vogue this last saturday night and he put on an excellent show.......only problems were......his vocals were turned up to the point that they had distortion at the upper edges and overall the sound was too loud for the size venue.After the first song i spent rest of the night at the back of the Vogue. Also.....i have been to the Vogue several hundred times over the last 30 years.....the place was oversold....it was shoulder to shoulder and no room in front of you or behind......peeps that went to the bar for a drink would be jabbing you in the back to try and get back to where they were....oversold in my opinion.I would rather pay $50.00 for a ticket if they would drop the headcount by a couple hundred people.....on the bright side,they had a bunch of 16oz craft and 12oz domestic beers for $4.00. I love that Venue but that could change after a few more shows like this one......... Anyone else that was there have some input ? Peace WB

I have had a very nice 4 week run of shows.....all were EXCELLENT ! First up was The Jeff Austin Band and the Travel'in McCorys and the Grateful Ball at the Livery Brewery in Benton Harbor,MI The next week it was Yonder Mountain String Band at the Vogue in Indy The next week was Melvin Seals and JGB at the Vogue And then last week it was the Infamous Stringdusters at the Vogue again. All were mid-week shows(don't know how Melvin got away with playing til 1:15 am on a week night) More to come...can't wait !!!!!! Peace WildBill

I saw they Travelin' McCourys with the Jeff Austin band doing their Grateful Ball last night at the Livery Brewery in Benton Harbor Michigan. I would highly recommend that you see them if you can. Both bands are excellent and the McCoury's just won a Grammy. But when all 10 of them guys with stringed instruments get on stage and start weaving the songs of the Grateful Dead.....it is MAGIC ! The Scarlet>Fire was out of this world....i kept yelling for a DarkStar.......maybe someday...... GO SEE THEM ! Peace WildBill
