He was the greatest. Listened to WMMR for the last two days to hear all the tributes. A Philly legend and such a kind man. Saw him at so many shows over the years. A great old school DJ. I don’t listen to much commercial radio anymore, but he was the soundtrack of my youth. And as I got older, I thought it was so cool to see him at the dead shows. Getting down in the audience like common folk. My brother sent me a video from a Hooters concert in December 2024 of Pierre dancing a  hippie dance like it was the dead on stage. At the Hooters!  Always authentic. Loved him. Thanks for posting the remembrance Greg. “Greetings Citizen and God Bless the Grateful Dead”.

I called the radio station on the first anniversary of Jerry’s death because I was listening that day and they weren’t mentioning anything or playing any Dead music. Pierre answered the phone!  How ‘bout some Grateful Dead? Who’s this? Greg. Where you from, Greg? Earleville, Maryland.
That weekend, my neighbors friend comes down for the weekend. He says, hey they said your name on the radio. I was like, huh? He said Pierre said this is for Greg from Earleville and played Ripple from reckoning. Just exactly perfect

Great ambassador for the Dead in the Delaware Valley.  He would always say "God bless the Grateful Dead"  You'd always catch him in tie dye.  One of the last true disc jockeys.  He was a walking party

Here's a video of him at one of the Cardboard Classics taking quit a bump
