As far back as I can recall, I have always been me. When I was 4 I had some imaginary friends. But I was still me. Later in adolescence and adult life I continued to be me. Now in the present there are times that I am in a bad mood. My wife asks, "What's wrong? You don't don't seem like your normal self." I disagree. Not seeming to be me is just another way of being me. Only in reverse.
