I did the whole tour. Fantastic show. Viola Lee was the theme for the tour it seemed. Amazing music and since I was 19, amazing summer. Also, did Junior Brown open this show? I know he did in Kansas.

I went and listened to this one. It was fantastic! Thanks for the rec.

  2. I was there when Phil Lesh & Friends played Viola Lee Blues four times during the 2nd set at the Riverport Amphitheatre in Maryland Heights, Mo. on 7-10-01. It was unbelievable to hear the song played four times. This show makes my Top 10 List of live shows I've seen since I started seeing live concerts in June 1980.

  4. That was the best Drums > Space I heard in years. Marshall Tucker Fire on the Mountain cover was fantastic! Foolish Heart opener was grate! The band took me on a trip with Drums > Space > The Other One > Stella Blue. WOW!!! The psychedelic images appearing on the scene at the back of the stage was cool as well. They also had images of Jerry on the scene, too.

  5. Old and In The Way Tribute by St. Louis' own "Mighty Pines" at the City Foundry STL this Friday, March 26.

If everything go's as planned, there is going to be a very cool announcement made in St. Louis sometime in May about a new music venue opening in St. Louis that all St. Louis Heads can call home. Tune to "The Other One" every Tuesday from Noon - 2pm CT on KDHX 88.1 FM St. Louis for updates on the new venue. You can listen online at: kdhx org

So lucky to Live in the Lou! :)

If we lived in the Lou we’d probably see most of those. The venue is brand new in a new entertainment/shopping complex completed beginning of pandemic. So on their site they have tons of open leases needless to say. The big top looks like it has a large floor plus balcony seating. Assume that’s the anchor of the new complex.

Here is the link to a recent video from the local tv news station in St. Louis talking about what's happening at the Foundry.

  7. The Other One on KDHX 88.1 FM St. Louis said yesterday during her radio program that the Voodoo Phish show at the Foundry is Sold Out.

The Foundry is located across the highway from the former National Guard Armory where the Grateful Dead played their first concert in St. Louis in May 1968. The Armory is under renovation right now. I'm not sure what is going in there.

  8. I saw Roger Waters on his Radio KAOS tour at the Fox Theatre in St. Louis in Sep. 1987. This was a once-in-a-lifetime concert. Roger Waters will never play the Fox in St. Louis again. This show is also my all-time favorite concert I have seen in person.  I have seen Roger Waters a few times since 1987. My last show was for the Us + Them Tour in May 2017 in St. Louis. I won't be able to see him this tour - he isn't coming to St. Louis this time around.

Accurate, with plenty of space and sound at this gem of a venue.

    Bad weather done b4 show.

    Three pairs followed by Franklin's...yippie!

JM birthday and close to Rob K house. His drummer kids playing with daddy from rail.

    As Jerry would say...Fun!!!

Dino also lived in Chesterfield, MO at one time. His mom lived on the same street as my mom and the same street where I grew up.

There was a little rainbow and a beautiful sunset over the lake behind the stage during the set break.

We got a break in the weather after the rain. Cool temps for the show.

Crowd chanted "Let's Go Blues!" after Minglewood Blues and after U.S. Blues.

The band did a couple notes of "Gloria" after Minglewood Blues as well.

    I love the venue!
