Nice Women R Smarter Sandie!  Not sure I've ever seen that one sliced up before...

There was a 2-man acoustic band in NJ; Only Footprints, that did Man Smart > Bird Song> Man Sart quite Freakuently.  Them two numbers go together like socks and sneaks!

  2. 1st Concert was Santana in '78 (Syracuse). Went to almost any show that come to central NY.

IN 1984 I was working in a factory and met real live DeadHeads. I remember telling them, I do not get why you guys go see the Dead over and over. I hear "Truckin" on the radio and it is an alright tune, but, I just do not get it!  Then they said come to lunch with us one day. So I did and they slapped in a bootleg, and then a huge light lit, I finally heard what they just heard!

1st Dark Star Orchestra show wasn't until 2008 (or was it '09?) somewhere in Illinois.  I will admit it, the term "Orchestra" scared me off. :)  Finally DSO was coming to some Fair and I did not tell anyone I was going so in case it was some sort of Orchestra and they sucked, I could just leave and not worry about it.  Of course I was just blown away and I could not wait to tell my fellow DH Friends all about DSO.

  3. Rick (aka Tom Banjo), I have never met you but thanks for sharing.

You can do whatever you put your mind too (even if it should take a few attempts).

One day at time, one show at a time my friend.

Please read the lyrics to Phish's song 'Everything's Right' below. I found so much strength in these lyrics, perhaps you can find something in these words as well...

Time to get out, I've paid my dues
I need to shout there's no time to lose
No more to give, the well is dry
The pavements worn, my brain is fried
It's time to get out, I've paid my dues

My shoes have holes, my socks are bare
The mirror's secret is I'm losing my hair
I'm in prison without a crime, The sentence stretches on undefined
It's time to get out, I've paid my dues, I've paid my dues
But everything's right, So just hold tight
Everything's right, So just hold tight

I'm going downhill with increasing speed
And compassion gives way, if you listen to greed
Focus on the past and that's what will last
Nothing that is real and nothing you can feel
Focus on tomorrow you'll have to borrow
Images and mind and thoughts you've left behind
Focus on today and you'll find a way
Happiness is how, Rooted in the now
'Cause, everything's right, So just hold tight
Everything's right, So just hold tight

Look into the eyes of everyone you meet
Try not to step on your best friend's feet
The line is in the sand, the flag is planted
The rest of your life, Don't take it for granted
'Cause, everything's right, So just hold tight
Everything's right, So just hold tight

    This world, this world,
This crazy world I know, It turns, it turns
And the long night's over and the suns coming up
Everything's right, It's gonna be alright!

  4. A few months ago I heard about "goose". I heard they were the next jam band, I YouTube'd them and viewed quite a few of their videos and on 01 Oct I caught an Atlanta show.  Wow!

Three thumbs up!  They just may be the jammiest band out there right now!  They played two sets and it was fun not knowing any of their tunes, not knowing what will happen next.

    It was a real treat.

If goose comes near you, check them out. If they aren't coming near you, go to them, you will not be disappointed.
