  1. The Littlefeat set is up on sugarmegs. Thanks for the review of dicky Betts, been missing him
  2. 9/8/83 my second show, right after my first 9/7. If they had choose 9/7 we would be up in the air as to whether 83 or 85? (unless they set the show time at 2pm, then we would know, right?)Both occurrences worthy of recreating, unless they want to set precedent and make RR a completely DSO thing with an original? Either way, Red Rocks has a way of crystalizing the experience. Maybe next year Cincy can be dosed with 6/24/19? That would certainly merit a move from the Taft to Riverbend
  3. Greg, I can appreciated where you're coming from; however, I don't think there was anything wrong with the touch of grey referenced moment for the dead. We got a ton of great shows after Jerry survived in 86. Now when Brent passed that was a whole different scenario. Gotta run
  4. Did dark star skip the second verse of fire like the dead did for this show?
  5. 1/19 & 1/21 2016 are both up on relisten.net
  6. Dee-note!!
  7. page and plant gave it it's due on their 1998 tour. None of that acoustic treatment they did with the 1995 shows. good to see the band branching into other songs besides GD, esp the 3/5th of a mile and all the JGB they've been doing. Open up the zep catalog and let the jams begin
  8. http://relisten.net/dark-star/2018/5/27 JGB set from 5/27/18
  9. It's up on sugarmegs.org , just added section, thanks to the band and the taper, makes for a long, long, crazy, crazy nights, crazy nights.. really nice work DSO!!
  10. Looks really really good, thanks for the posts
  11. http://relisten.net/grateful-dead/1984/4/29-4 Taped at the 21st row DFC Rob Eaton with a Charlie Miller transfer. It keeps posting another source besides Ron's. I've tried. You should be able to bring up Eaton's
  12. at the carrier dome in Syracuse 84, they didn't even have the stage lit up, just this weird little outline of each musician could be seen from the upper upper eshcalons. After experiencing Pages's duck walks and Townsend's windmills this was something very intriguing, then BAM 85 hit!! and 85 hit hard if you were impressionable and into music, it then became about HAVING to do the whole tour to get the She Belongs or cryptical, or ?????
  13. $10.00 a show at The Stone right before the Chinese New Years shows in 1987. Sat and Sun. only convinced one other in our group to go out ahead. Damn well better believe those Stone shows blew doors off of the Civic Auditorium shows with GD later that week. $15.00 a show for the Wiltern later in 87 on Friday March 13 and 14th. Two full sets in a place as big as a living room for $10.00, tell me Jerry didn't love to play. One of the most underrated aspects of JGB was John Kahn, the mighty KAHN!!!!
  14. This "too many cryin in my beer songs person didn't know he was getting a rare rebirth of To Lay Me Down (which we got in Hampton). Tea, you really got the wild intro to your 30 yr trip when you got that Scarlet Fire first set opener in Chicago! I've reference the minglewood from Joe Louis before as won of my favorites when Jerry and Bobby run the main lead together and Brent joins in, just synchronicity at it's finest
  15. Rumpke mountain boys have been doing an acoustic, jugband version of Viola Lee for years. Seems like the time the two bands spent together in Jamaica was productive. RMB also tear up Duprees. Masters of War is just a down right great, necessary song, along with Roger Water's The Bravery of Being Out of Range from his 1992 Amused to Death album. What God wants God gets...

Chad Wackerman from Frank Zappa's '84 band? I love playing Positively 4th Street, I just hope those who are listening are not offended. It's a great song to play and sing. Thanks for the list and venue review. Keep on keeping on like you do!
  17. Before looking at this setlist, I was thinking either a JGB show or one of those three set 1980 October shows. Looks like DSO put together thier own magical set. Have in the pool everyone
  18. How Sweet It Is (To Be Loved By You) Catfish John After Midnight Mission In The Rain Who Was John They Love Each Other Moonlight Mile Set 2 Harder They Come Knockin' On Heaven's Door Talkin' 'Bout You Keystone 2/13/76
  19. elective?

  22. ChinaRiderChina Cat. Doll Playing TERRAPINN.
  23. some dude jumped in his car at a red light, so with kids, keep yo doors locked as you travel through town. Otherwise, I've had nothing short of great food and met some of the best people in the town if Philadelphia
  24. That's really good stuff there Billy! You're right about watching out for robbery. It happened to my friend when he pulled into town for the spring 86 spectrum shows, along time ago, but there are predators on the streets of philly. Great restaurant reviews, have fun everyone
  25. Terrapin Nation opened NYE back in Indy a few years ago. Warm up bands usually leave me wanting even more for the band I'm going to see, can't wait for them to end to get to the main event. DSO is a great way to bring in the new year, have fun
