  1. Very special, esp with having 2 intimate indoor experiments during the summer tour with two big looming stadiums ahead to finish. Excitement was building from the beginning of tour as to what Roanoke had to behold.
  2. Standing on the Moon>He's Gone> KY Jam... It's on the 1990 Pittsburgh Vault DVD as filler. Jerry just didn't want to commit to one song so he played them all without any words
  3. 6/27 Hightime (I jumped the gun yesterday) TIGDH Birdsong Comes A Time Deal https://archive.org/details/gd85-06-28.sbd.lemon2.5822.sbeok.shnf and of course the following post....
  4. See? It all leads back to Emmylou and that dangerous river (bend)
  5. Iko>Samson>He's👋>Smokestack⚡️Cryptical>drumspace>Comes A Time>Other 1>Cryptical>Wharf Rat>Good💕>0&0 🇺🇸
  6. Virgil Cane is my name and I served on the Danville train
  7. Second that emotion. Not many people posting on here , ever since Aaron left. I've tried to stay off here because, I don't like seeing my posts as the only one on here, thinking maybe i'm scaring people off, so I steer clear.
  8. Tonight would be a perfect time to recreate Hershey 85
  9. I wonder how many setlists will will include The Race Is On at shows tonight
  10. Frosty flakes shows coming up. Palo Alto with roses growing everywhere and the 2pm showtimes were a special treat, didn't have to wait all day ~ everything in broad daylight This would be right up there with Greek Theater and RR for DSO to schedule
  11. Sad and Deep as You, World in Changes, We Just Disagree let alone all his Traffic material and All Along The Watchtower , always delivered a moving Dear Mr Fantasy. I taped him using a friend's high end deck, Marantz 420, and quality mics for my first "real" taping experience back in April of '85 @ Bogarts. Only You Know and I Know
  12. Based on the placement, I'm betting Jeff. Really glad to see Easy To Slip and Operator, especially ETS. Bobby loved playing it when he was touring with Kingfish in 86
  13. The Alladin Theater Las Vegas 1984 & The Spectrum Philadelphia 1985 both long drives for OMSN
  14. Positively 4th Going Going Gone Maggie's Farm
  15. Any thoughts on Stolen Faces? My only G L O R I A in 200+ shows. Haven't even caught one from DSO, BCE or Hyryder
  16. In Louisville, 1993 summer tour, they blew everyone's mind by closing both nights first sets with Don't Ease. I also vividly remember Bobby being way to loud and basically ruining the morning dew with a constant, loud, bang bang throughout, crinch worthy. Does anyone remember in 87 when there was quad speakers set up and during LL Rain they would channel Jerry's noodling around and around the indoor arenas?
  17. Reaching for the gold ring deep inside! Hell yeah!!!
  18. Good memory Bill, that 84 Aladdin Theater being my 3rd show and cherry broke on having to drive all day and all night for a single show ~ well worth it, grateful to be in that station wagon leaving Laramie at midnight on the 5th. Was also at the Chinese NY run in January of 87 for another space>Eyes, catching the $10 JGB shows at The Stone the Sat and Sun before this SF series. My TIGDH comes from another long ass drive through the desert for another casino city show: Jerry Garcia Band February 21, 1987 Lawlor Events Center Reno, Nevada Set #1 I'll Take A Melody Crazy Love Dear Prudence The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down (my first white whale and I was alright with it ending a short set) Set #2 Harder They Come I Shall Be Released Gomorrah Think Lucky Old Sun Tangled Up in Blues Then a quick bite at the $1.49 casino buffet and right back to Laramie for class on Monday morning. My best taper friend at that time, Tom Heiberger and his wife Bobbi, out of Longmont, CO changed his brake pads on the side of the highway on the way out that Friday afternoon. Lawlor Events Center was kinda like a High School gym with a curtain hanging behind the band ~ weird
  19. Dark Star opening for Panic? That's a Saturday worth the travel ⚡🎶🛞🇱🇷
  20. Bring on the Canucks! This has been a highly enjoyable game and on regular TV no less
  21. Just announced this afternoon ~ Deercreek three , MSG five, Wisconsin two ~ presale ends 2/23 public 2/27. The DC parking lot is quite the adult Disneyland 🫠

  23. Proud Mary would have been a cover for GD encore
  24. Born Cross Eyed played all Bobby songs except a He's Gone in the second set. A raucous Sugar Magnolia with extra measures and leads emphasizing the magnitude of the event honoring. A 15 minute Jack Straw marking this a special show: #1 Hell in A Bucket Jack straw BTW Esau Uncle River Rooster GSET Wang Dang Let It Grow #2 Sampson Easy Answers Estimated He's Gone Victim Sugar Magnolia One More Saturday Night Johnny B Goode
