  1. Phil is big in the fire Crispy, clear, clean, deep audio. Check out Bobby maxing out with his slide lead in little red, the other one split ends up working well.
  2. Ya gonna listen to st PATRICK'S day shows all day DD?
  3. Rude, maybe Riverfront live is an upcoming option for the band? Hope to be able to meet your new boss and see a great show with you and family again. Greg, glad you're in gold for an upcoming Sunday festival, happy for all on here getting into shows , especially with what sounds like exceptional after show parties. I gotta lay low to clear up some recent expensive car repairs and an upcoming 2 week trip to spend time with my cousins in Big Sur and finally get into the big trees. Every other time I was in California I was committed to jgb and dead shows. It's been hard times with the fires the past few years of my attempts to get there.
  4. I think a lot of us were at the carrier dome on Saturday 10/20/84 of, what about 60,000?, to that 4 night run at BCT of 3500. Kinda exemplifies the different energy levels of east coast versus west shows. Thanks for the dive BK. 1985 started for me by getting my high school concert friend (after I had been to red Rocks in '83 and Las Vegas in '84) to make the 12 hour drive for the two spring Hampton shows. Opened with Alabama and he was deadicated. Then philly, alpine, cincy, blossom, Hershey, red rocks, and my first California shows were new years to end out '85 and begin the all in of '86 (except the March BCT shows 🙁). The Eel River August 87 JGB and Black mtn Boys had only about 400 people there. Was the 88 eel river show only minimally attended?
  5. I clicked on Tea's posted link and was taken right to ticket sales. Section A is sold out, but the other sections have sales with no promo code needed.
  6. Mask wearing gets rid of expressions, citizen control at it's finest
  7. They're really good. I checked out Sean Canaan Voodoo Led Zeppelin and the second song in was When The Levee Breaks which ripped. Love that song's rhythm. Koritz is in with some serious melding.
  8. She's a gem especially sitting in with the crew on this Buffalo Springfield cover so relevant for our times.
  9. The Del McCoury Band is playing the Caverns on April 18. Might As Well stick around another day and see if you get a high on the mountain or a cold rain and snow!
  10. Birdsong in the first set and the Dark Star dropped in the second set Oteil B. from Dead and Co was the ESP receiver
  11. Went and experienced a fairly dynamic Allman Betts Band concert at the Ryman auditorium Saturday night. About 200 in attendance. Highlights for me were: Jessica, Trouble No More, Melissa, Blue skies, rambling man, midnight Ryder, Dreams, mountain jam, I Get By With a Little Help From my Friends (we went with my friend and his wife, he's the one that I went to my first dead concerts at red rocks in 1983). First in person show for me this year. It took a few songs for everyone to loosen up and do what we do at a concert. Next show is Emmylou with Steve Earle at The City Winery in Nashville on Saturday April 3rd. Her last shows in January were there and my buddy, who went, said there was about 100 people in attendance. Live shows are going on, so keep an eye out because they're only selling limited tickets, so you gotta get em when sales begin. The Ryman rocked on Saturday. The Allman Betts Band just finished up a 10 show tour. Billy Strings has three Florida shows coming up in person, limited sales, but still making live music happen at a reasonable cost. I'm not all in with what's being done to our freedom. I'm hoping others still practice what makes this country the one everyone is trying to get here for, LIBERTY! well, and the pursuit of happiness, yeah

  12. 1987 Jerry Garcia Band at The Stone, SF $10.00 for two sets with Jerry pulling up to the front door and being dropped off as we were all waiting in line to get in. 34 years ago. Wonderin' what (or if we'll still be able) to write about 34 years from today?
  13. Daniel Lanois has a show scheduled for 10/30/21 @ 8pm in Toronto, Koerner Hall, with Heavy Sun, gonna be ridiculous. Hoping this goes south 🙃, like right through Chicago, Indy, Nashville, New Orleans
  14. Known to some elders who have studied the hierarchy: Maslow had collective consciousness above self actualization. Once we become what we can become we can tap into that of all. I'm reeling in sorrow for the loss of your mother and am still stricken by the loss my own who passed on July 17 this year. A Grief Odserved by CS Lewis is a good read at times like this. It's a small 68 page book. Thanks for letting it be known about the love between a mother and a son.
  15. Billy Strings is playing the 6 night February 1971 capital theater dates trying to recreate the de ja vu experiment the dead supposedly tried out back in 1971. The first and last shows are free. The others shows are $19.99 for the stream with proceeds going to Rex Foundation and musician relief fund. He was recently interviewed by rolling stone and said he's currently reading Box of Rain, the collection of Robert Hunters writings. It's a good read and worth having. Lots didn't make it to albums. Check out Billy's website for the February 1971 Capital Theater de ja vue experiment.
  16. I think the people elected Harris and AOC. Get ready for some big changes. Biden isn't the one in charge of what's about to happen. They're already floating more media control. Corporations are going to be running the presidency not Trader Joe's family. Any one disagreeing will be dealt with. It's a shame that there's no more DSO to randomly ramble about.
  17. Yeah, that's going to get a lot of conversation going 🙃
  18. Getting close. I hope all goes well
  19. What do you call a wreath made of 100 dollar bills? Aretha Franklin's
  20. Just now got the email of friday's cancelation and the rescheduled date in February. Forgot to practice my mantra of not getting excited before getting into the show.
  21. I've had that 67 Shrine show on the other side of the first set Santa fe 9/11/83 tape forever and still it gets played and enjoyed. Glad it made the BDP VI. You're setting up some nice shows. Just brilliant
  22. Any words coming down from Spencer of any upcoming Hyryder shows? We're at the Ryman this Friday night for the Allman Betts family reunion. Robert Earl Keene is there Thursday night. Social distancing ticket prices $89-129.00. Allman Betts band at Riverfront live Saturday night. Looking for an Elizabeth Reed in smashville
  23. Oh my, oh my, the scarlet fire finally dropped and closing out a 15 song first? What? Another swath loaded with JGB. I did get the setlist from emmylou's stage last night from the Wine Room in Nashville. My buddy took his wife for her birthday and Maple gave him the setlist. Only seated 140 lucky ducks. She broke out quite a few rarities. Encored with Big Black Dog since it was a benefit show for Boneparte's Retreat. So glad music is still happening. Thank you Dead duck, I ain't been on Facebook since 2012 so I had no access to what went down Saturday. That was one not to be missed, sheesh, opening with Tore Up must whipped up quite the frenzy
  24. Does anybody have the setlist from Saturday's Hyryder pop up show at the trap? 11/7/2020 5pm stsrt
