Great Doc. the live dazed and confused full improv is maybe the best thing I’ve ever hear. I think now if I had to go back in time I’d do Zep tour in 69 over dead. They recorded all of Led Zeppelin 2 during tour at different studios along the way. And they did it all live in studio. They fed off each other so live was the way. They were my fav band most of my life. Only saw a couple tributes. Led Zeppelin 2 and some other I don’t recall. But they shred. Watch it. It’s on Netflix or streamm4u.com.co if you don’t want to pay. what’s funny is the Fillmore west shot them into stardom

going to see 2 nights of hyryder at grateful fest? There are like 6 grateful fests. The one in Arizona has a bad ass lineup but figured you meant the ledges since that’s a great camping spot.

We got to do axial tilt in 2019 both nights. Was like 5.5 hours start to finish. They played so long they went through the after party and after after party slots. It’s 9-1a then 2a-5a standard slots and they did 10-330a. By the end we were on that 2nd level in the comfy couches. 8 days of Jazz fest is a death wish. A dude punched me in the liver and he broke his hand.

now that’s a rookie move. Gotta get inside the circle in Columbus b4 you stop. Every year we’d hit the same Waffle House after merges and other interstates hit. For 15 miles you’re at the mercy of I-70 profiling. Legal weed gives them less probable cause but those troopers don’t care about due process. “What did you just throw back there. I’m searching the car”.

Been a minute since I’ve seen you here or at a show. Hope you are in one of the ebbs and flows with lots of shows. Life has limited my travel lately. Hopefully by fall things will settle down and I can plan some shows.

Deadco going after Johnny blue skies(Sturgill) Saturday will be like going from 3/5 a mile in 10 secs to 2 miles in 3 hours. Never a good idea to go after a band that’s gonna smoke the tempo in full guitar melt with maybe 1-2 hard stops in 90 minutes. The dead was psychedelic but limited. Billy makes sense going from accoustic to electric after but Sturgill would be a better late night set

One of the greatest deadheads ever, Jim Irsay, died today. He shared his love of the dead by buying Jerry’s tiger guitar and keeping it locked up in his vault that included 100’s of thousands of percocets and various booze. He shared the view of the vault with hedge fund guys and other bankers. He was a regular guy who’d drive himself while drunk not wanting to be like normal billionaires who have Chauffeurs drive them when drunk. He’s a one of a kind that will be missed by tens of people.

congrats to you guys. now thats a rarity getting the list correct if not writing every song down. If im not doing it song by song i always miss a few and sometimes have zero recollection of the ones i missed. Noticed all the love songs in the set. It’s nice they took requests. That’s also rare lol. But it was private and not actually Dso. I do like on Facebook all the peeps requesting songs and I’m like well that won’t get played now lol.

lol there is a table section where you can buy a table for 4 😂. Make sure to dress appropriately for the tables. Black tie is not required in summer.

I saw DSO play 8-12:15 at Busters in Lexington with no one there. Parking lot was an ice rink. 74 show I think. Never saw Dso play 4:15 since.
