Another one for the ages at the Peak. So much to be Thankful for, so much love in the air. Sold out show and the joint was jumpin'. The most viscous Slipknot I've ever heard. Great elective set. Even with it being packed there was plenty of room to dance (if you know where to find it, just gotta poke around) and getting drinks wasn't that bad either. The line to get in was nothing like I've ever seen. Didn't get up there until like 7:30p and the line to get in was stretched all the way through the lot probably 300yds 4 people deep. Waited about a half hour but I think they got almost everyone in by the start of the show. Glad to see the tradition continue. We can't take this stuff for granted. We've seen how easily things can be taken away.

They should have just made this a Netflix series. Like 10 episodes. That way you could have gone through the progression of Jerry/the band. How do they play on condensing 30+ years of touring into a 2-3 hour movie. Plus if you're changing out band members that will also need 15-20mins of setup/explanation. Is Bobby gonna be in the movie with makeup on to make him look 19 again?? or do they just go with a whole cast of actors. If so, they're gonna look funny trying to play instruments and lip singing. I think this is gonna be a hack job

I caught the some of the Oakland show this AM on the GD channel. The Masterpiece/West L.A. Fadeaway was pretty hot. I think the one I heard yesterday had the NFA clap from the audiance that seemed to last 15 mins.! I was thinking to myself, that had to be one of the longest NFA crowd chants out there. I wonder if anyone knows the longest documented NFA crowd chant

Have fun with Ardmore music hall. In order to get in you need a stool sample, you finger printed, need to identify your pronoun, need proof of vaccination and a valid ID matching your vaccine card (which I've read is racist), & must where a muzzle "between bites of food and sips (or gulps) of drinks" I guess they throw you in a pit or something if they catch you with your mask down breathing air in between your gulps. I would imagine they do contract tracing there as well all for you own safety of course. Vaccinated or not vaccinated I don't feel like spending my hard earned money on businesses like that. I feel bad for the bands that play there who I'd like to support and the smaller crowds they might play in front of because of their policies. I don't think it's a sustainable business model on their part but whatever. I've been to many shows there in the past but no thanks unless they change their ways

Wow, don't know what to think of this. I would imagine it will be cool either way but really Jonah Hill??? I mean Val Kilmer as Jim Morrison was good, Joaquin Phoenix as Johnny Cash was on point. But Jonah Hill as Jerry?? I just don't see how that works on any level. Just watching this on youtube now. Pretty badass. I still ski and usually always have the Dead, DSO, or another random song going in my ear. I still love the sounds of the ski mountains but once you get Jerry in your ear blasting down some fresh corduroy there's nothing's better. Props to Bill Walton too, he did a good job narrating. ⛷️

Didn't know much about them only that Big Steve from the Dead rolls with them. They were tight. The T-Sisters were worth the price of admission, very easy on the eyes and had great melodies. See for yourself

Workin on 4 hours sleep, didn't get home til 2am but Wow, DSO comes out swinging with this unique setlist. Any time you get to see 3 sets it's a bonus. A few tunes I don't recall ever hearing before threw me for a loop. The Frozen Logger?? The band played it a couple times and stopped half way through the song trying to iron out some kinks. Rob E. said they'd never played that in front of an audience before. I've heard them play wake up little susie before but only in an elective set. The Good Lovin > New Orleans > Good Lovin was a nice twist. Never heard that rendition. 1st time at the World Cafe Live. Place was intimate but definitely rockin. The weathered look they used for the sides of the stage was pretty cool. It felt like you were seeing a show in a 100 year old mansion that was ready to fall down. Highlights for me were *New Speedway Boogie ~ I can listen to this song all day long. Haven't heard DSO play it that many times. With the current political climate & violence that's been going on lately this song really hit home. "One way or another, this darkness got to give." Always reminds me of that video where the Dead are on a college campus & all the students are out watching the show. Morning Dew & Dancin were on point. 3rd set was groovy. Never heard them go into Drums so quickly. Then back into drums during Alligator. Love light>NFA>Love Light was oozing with evergy. Rob B. impressed all night on vocals. Thanks DSO for brining the thunder. Made my 2 hour drive home bearable!
