Damn, Bix! Congrats. Halfway through reading your post, I told myself you should write a book. I think you just did.

Sugar Mags/Scarlet/fire is one of my favorites. Did they finish Sugar mags or did the Sunshine Daydream part show up later in the show? Or not at all?

Hey, I did the same thing for a Furthur show a few years back. The Atlantic City paper had them doing two shows later that summer at Fairmont Park. I never checked again and drove up for the first night. The first clue was the incredible parking spot we got. Yup, the band only showed up for the second night.

Somebody did that last year. Went to another town with the same name. Salvaged the journey by finding them and enjoying a show. Nice recovery!

Heads up. Traffic around DC could be problematic. Allow for the clusterfuck factor.

Yea, I’m excited too. Already counting the days. What they do in shows right before will help determine what they’re not going to do. I hope work doesn’t get in the way. Gotta plant corn around that time. I see they played Black Muddy River again recently. That’s one trend I noticed. You taping it?

I’m lovin’ the second set, especially the home stretch.

I think the greater point is that Dark Star Orchestra keeps us thinking and being blown away simultaneously. Praise Dark Star Orchestra !!!!!!

Yea, I was reading on line, the original show was second night back from their hiatus. Interesting set list. I love the second set. They were saying how fall ‘76 had some spots that were as sweet as Spring ‘77 and Comes a Time from this night was one of them. I’m sure Dark Star Orchestra did it justice.

Encore? Filler? Curious if they stayed with the same era, or mixed it up. They never cease to amaze.

The same situation exists in Dewey Beach. They usually play two nights there. One is always pre ‘74, the other elective. The band will keep it interesting. That’s the other given. Enjoy!

so, I know it was talked about but I can’t find it so I’m starting it up again. I just got an email from the Hamilton listing upcoming shows. The Dark Star Orchestra shows are specifically listed as electric shows. No acoustic.

She’s making history, gonna leave a legacy. As with all of Dark Star Orchestra’s members.

Yea, I love that set list. Acoustic set looks like it could be from 1980, ripple closer.

Well, as a fan, I know I had a good show when I feel all warm and fuzzy inside yet, I’m not sure what they played. Sometimes, it’s weeks before a song from that night makes it to the front of my head and a smile how’s up on my face. When a band member isn’t quite sure what was played, you know it was an incredible show. I only knew a small percentage of the songs played that night but I did know I was seeing something special. I tried to focus and take as much of it in as possible while it was happening. The band was making history that night.

Yea, dogs are territorial. I was working in the gardens around the house on a horse farm. The dog barked at me through the window for hours. As soon as he got outside, I got bit. I violated his personal space.

I got bit by a customers dog last year. If not for quick thinking, that dog would have done a lot more biting. The owner took it back to the humane society. I ran into the director the next week. They didn’t put the dog down. Instead, they put it back up for adoption. They do not put a dog down until it bites three people. True story. I’m wondering if the dog obesity problem is that eating humans is fattening.

well, it wasn’t White Rabbit. Lisa was singing at the top of her lungs, like she was all night. She’s incredible. That might narrow it down.
