  1. I was hoping to make that but didn’t align with my schedule
  2. Saw them at Wanee. A friend grooved hard to the talking heads songs. They were decent late night band.
  3. Really stoked to get Delilah to her first show in Florida. I wanna dance with my baby girl. Weather and flight delays plus venue policies interferes with her making any of the California shows we were doing. I guess we all chase the ghost of Joseph
  4. I never thought it was an outshining subject but I know the glory days may be over. I’ll take my 30 to 40 this year. Having been to so many shows I kind of know what venues I want to hit now anyway. Help me prioritize a little bit. Its Scotty time to shine. Sometimes you need to accept you old and in the way.
  5. We got a great local dead bar/venues. Several own by some guys in Denver and they used to have one in boulder maybe still do. Beonkeys has different local dead music and smaller nationally touring dead bands regularly. The poster/memorabilia collection in beonkeys and Sanchos In unreal. Jgb playing there end of March unfortunately or fortunately however you look at it Dso is doing Florida and that’s where we will be.
  6. Will we see you in Florida Scotty?

    Thanks tea.
  10. It hurts me too not to be there Looks like I’m just in time for the 80s
  11. I’m not sure I agree with you mojo. As for giving opinions of things you didn’t witness off a list, I probably think it’s a foolish endeavor. Someone around here said something like you never know what show will take you there. However, from someone in your shoes, I can see issues with the flow in the show. Corinna, Cold Rain, and Essau easy dance songs. I don’t think much of Corinna as a song but to say it doesn’t have a great dance groove is ludicrous to me. Of course, most of the Corinna I’ve heard have been live by DSO. Maybe if I was basing it off the Dead’s treatment I would disageee with myself. Dire Wolf a nice reprieve. More of a sing along than a dancer. Blow Away can be an explosive dancer. Here I kind of agree with Mojo. From here to close, the songs become less dancy or in some cases just harder to dance too. For instance, not everyone can dance to sunrise. Some even choose to talk. I happen most of the time to enter the sacred space of the song where you feel it deep in your heart and dancing is the most natural if not necessary response. Bird song can go this place too. I could to go just in depth on the 2nd set as an outside observer but not sure it matters. Crazy fingers definitely like sunrise. Harder to dance to but pure magic when it happens. A bunch of Stephen NFA pretty easy dancers for me. Cumberland according to a buddy is top 5, definitely gets me moving. Wow thanks mojo that was fun trying to envision what I thought about something I know nothing about. Can you guys tell I’m missing all of you.

  13. That looked good. See ya guys soon. Delilah show total been cut to 1. Warfield doesn’t allow babies but we have a sitter. 3 show run is still a go.
  14. We have headphones.
  15. This little peanut gonna make it to her first 3 shows.
  16. I’m pretty sure they do indirectly talk about sex trafficking. Like you know more in the vein of so you know a good massage parlor or escort service in town.
  17. Ya these dudes totally insensitive but I forgive them. Maybe we should rain dance.
  18. How far you riding this thing, mango?
  19. Funny you say Indy has a solid dead scene. The crowd at the Egyptian always seems a little sparse. I wonder if we need to up promotion around town.
  20. Rude I heard a really heart warming pet story. A family home had burned and they of course were forced to evacuate. When they returned. Their dog was waiting for them in the remains of the home. Alive. It had been like a week later.
  21. So you know when you’re really in the zone you don’t really bump into no one. You see them in your periphery from several steps away. You don’t even come close to bumping into people. I had this going on but the last night my trip got tunneled quite a bit. It was kind of funny. I still had my footing but I could not see quite like the other nights.
  22. It looks like Durham and the Warfield are a go. We will be bringing the baby girl.
  23. Plus this trip is just incredibly fun whatever your style but I know mango likes to dance.
  24. I’d love for you to make it mango. I think you could find your own special lift off. Find that magic place. Dance your way into the magic.
  25. night 2 was original- help-slip-frank, lazy light, t.thumbs, melody, we can run, tmns. / Stephen, man smart, sunrise, eyes, unbroken, sailor, saint DEW I feel we may be missing some but I need to see the full night 3. I do remember listening to help on the way by the pool bar and telling Whitney that she would be lucky if that played help. I did something special to help on the way I few years ago on the rocks at the jubilee. As a dancer we are sometimes aware of when we just simply had it. I’m not sure I met the bar again this time but it sure was a magical time.
