Both nights. The ladies stole the show. First night Lisa on walking blues. Last night with Tanya on Bobby McGee. I want to state that these two shows really displayed the strength and mastery of all the members of DSO. They stepped up big time in Eaton’s absence. These shows were strong. They were special and I’m glad I got to capture some of the magic. However I can’t imagine how strong DSO will sound when Eaton rejoins the fold. I know that DSO will only bring it up another notch with his return. I can’t wait for Wanee. See you guys on the merry go round again soon.

I want to hear that. That sounds incredible. I’m pretty sure they’ve played wonderful world. They recreated jgb shows before years ago with JK. I would be surprised if it didn’t pop up in one of those set list.

You sure that was masters of war and not chimes of freedom. I’m not sure Dso has ever performed masters of war.

They often leave the stage set up the same on a two night run. They are by no means bound to that. I'm thinking late 70s show here or the rare back to back elective. Thinking 78 with a franklins.

I got no encore from that show.

We played in the rain. It was special. It many ways epitomized the devotion you feel around heads towards this music. It also showed the band and crew at their most devoted. The rain came in side ways a bit. They had to cover speakers. Replace wires. All in all it was a moving beautiful experience I was glad to share in.

I thought he was more into smacking people on the foot in celebration. Causing foot injuries so the good ol wise dr barry could have some extra business.

My boy Vic runs into fires to save lives. I'm not gonna tell him that isn't the most imporrant thing. He saves lives.

I find any statement made by anyone implying they know what the most important thing in the world to be full of ego and to be avoided. We define importance for ourselves and no one can challenge you if you say dso shows are the most important thing in the world to you but to imply you know importance for everyone is stuck in the same thought process that keeps us in this world and unable to reach beyond it to the next one. We push to spread our values whether it's religion, tour life, or democracy. We should seek to understand others and hope that they flourish in what they find important. Im sure not gonna tell the person teaching ex children soldiers in Uganda that he isn't doing the most important thing right now. Im sure not gonna tell those looking for a cure to cancer that they aren't doing the most important thing right now. I wont even tell the dad that gets up to manage the McDonalds today so he can feed his 2 and 6 year old kids that he isn't doing the most important thing right now. The daughter sitting by her dying father side praying for him and her family. I think that might be most important too. I have at times found DSO shows to be the most important thing in the world to me. I may even find myself in that space again. I think Scotty needs to further elaborate shed a little more light on what he meant to help those of us that are behind in are thinking understand.

I think first set had to be cut short for technical reasons. They had a slight crackle coming through the PA off the stage. I think they may have had more in store for us but decided fixing the problem would better serve the night. I didn't hear the crackle again in sets 2 or 3. Set 3 was some of the best music I've ever heard. I've seen a lot of DSO and I don't think I have a clear opinion on best show ever or anything like that anymore. So many environmental factors go in to that thought process. The anniversary show had a 2nd set much like and I'd say just as strong as this 3rd set here. I feel like those in Norfolk feel like they got the show of the year. Sadly I wasn't there. Another buddy said he saw his best 80s DSO show ever. I think my general point here echos some of this DSO at the top of their game stuff. At first (first 50 shows) every show was the best, then I held on to some special shows and I didn't feel like the magic was hit like that more than a few times a year. I am not saying that the shows weren't great. They just didn't resonate with me like the special nights did. Lately, I feel like those special nights come more frequently. Dso has always been the best on average Grateful Dead product for me but not it seems like the consistently play shows that reach that magical status. They are playing shows I consider great with much greater frequency. I'd say that puts them on top of their game.

I like Pats streaks over Genos. There both famous. Steves are good too. Really can't go wrong. You can definitely walk around Fairmount Park during the day. If your doing tourist stuff, I'd do the art muesum and the national constitution center. See you in Philly duck.
