She was Jerry’s favorite female singer. I enjoyed learning about her earliest work from the Ken Burns documentary on Country music. She goes all the way back to the roots.

One of the true great souls we’ve ever known in our lifetime. The greatness of the art of her music, somehow pales in comparison to the kind of woman she was.

Ton of tributes. Probably seen 4 live Jolene’s in the last week by different artists and got a 9 to 5 and more at Billy’s freak fair fest. Well deserved. No one is was universally loved as Miss Dolly Parton it seems. RIP

This makes me wonder how many dead bands played Days Between during the Days Between. It's been in my repertoire since 2009 after seeing John K perform it with DSO at a show in Boulder (without a monitor). When memorized and then emotionally delivered,  it's quite the experience for both performer and audience.
