  1. It's all a hoax, folks. There is no coronavirus,  other than the one that already existed and exists to some degree in all of us. Do I know what I'm talking about? Fuck no.  Do you? You might think you do... but you don't either. It's a flu. Thousands of old people die from the Flu every year. I don't believe (this world used specifically) that these measures being taken are for our protection.  No,  there is something else entirely going on here.... something deep shifting behind the scenes that we,  the masses, aren't privy to. Isolate us,  make us scared,  take unquestioned power. Don't give up your power, don't stop living.

But yeah,  I've got music on a player that requires no wifi. It's something I value deeply. No power, yeah then I'm screwed. Can't even plug my keyboard in to play music.  Guess I'll get more serious about learning this accordion I have, polish up on the acoustic guitar....

Well I will certainly explore the notion since the Colorado dates are quite tricky for me,,right up against Oregon Country Faire,,,

Now let's see...Black Mountain is actually east of the Rockies,,right??

Yes Oregon boy, your time  has come to explore the wide world.

Mason, I agree wholehardely- you don't know what the shows will be like- But as an overall experienc Black Mount is my favorite. No doubt Jamaica is top notch but there's a serious price differential there that I have yet been able to overcome. One of these days...

Ahhh ,,,Finally some clarity has arrived...

Ampitheater run in Colorado looking pretty tasty

Colorado is cool but Black Mountain is THE must catch of the year. I'm gonna throw my weight around here and claim that I have advanced knowledge and opinions about DSO tour and that the Black Mountain experience is the jingle bell rainbow hallelujah hatrack of them all.

For me. And I'd looooove it if you came Huck!

And the rest of you fine folk. I'm making a statement here- believe it if you need it or leave it if you dare~

That looks awesome! I was the biggest Steely Dan freak before I discovered the Grateful Dead. Kid Charlegmane sandwich! Wow! I would definitely go see that. Thing is, do they tour or do I have to travel to the double Helix? Hey, I just realized, do you get that from a Steely Dan tune?

    Which song is that?

No,  it's a random inside joke that no one here is inside of. Suffice to say that my hilarious and Brilliant friend was once talking,  while under the influence of Lady L, about the nature of DNA and finished his diatribe by yelling  "double helix!" While spinning  and recreating the double helix. It was a 'had to be there's moment, one that will never be created again. Sakada was there, maybe he's lurking around the forums and can attest to the brilliance of the moment.

All really good but I loved Green Earrings and the transition from Deal>reelin in the years was top notch.  Way to go A-bear.

Just got home from Steely Dead - They were really great.

I don't know what I expected going in, but it was certainly exceeded.

Some really excellent transitions - What they're doing resonates with my own sensibilities in a way I like and appreciate.

My first time seeing A-Bear and I was quite impressed.

    Go see these guys.

Here to confirm that it was in fact awesome.  My two favorite bands, melted into one. A bear, two  keyboards, drums,  bass. Homeboy from the lodge sat in on Sax but no one touring with them- surprising as horns are a big part of Steely Dan.

  6. Using logic, it is not difficult to determine what era it is or if it's an elective. If there's two drummers it isn't 74 (with the exception of 10-20-74). So yeah, it could have been that show but given other songs played (lazy lightening, sunrise) it would logically be ruled out.

Or maybe I'm just a freak. Or both.

  7. First three nights of 2020 DSO West coast tour are in the books. I could stop now with a full cup but that is not to be my fate. So on we go. Skipping Bend....home in sorthern Oregon and recovering.

Seattle and Eugene were both incredible for me. Portland was good not great- musically perfect but spatially limited. Eugene takes the cake!

When i get excited i get Down- like, literally low to the ground. I got low a lot these last three nights. It was so high! And now my quads...
