I looked around, only done once by the Grateful Dead, 5/11/80, out of 43 times they played both songs the same night, rare indeed! Also interesting that this setlist also includes Playing in the Band as the next song in the set, same as on 5/11/80.

    05/11/80
Cumberland County Civic Center - Portland, ME

    Set 1:
    Alabama Getaway
    Promised Land
    They Love Each Other
    Cassidy
    Loser
    It's All Over Now
    Easy To Love You
    Big Railroad Blues
    Looks Like Rain
    Don't Ease Me In
    The Music Never Stopped

    Set 2:
    Scarlet Begonias
    Fire On The Mountain
    Feel Like A Stranger
    Terrapin Station
    Playin' In The Band
    Drums
    Black Peter
Goin' Down The Road Feeling Bad
    Around And Around
    Johnny B. Goode

    Encore:
    Brokedown Palace

funny, this was the night after my first show...stranger that night too...wow, those 2 shows back to back..sick shit..

  2. I can confirm that this was the BEST New Year's I've had with DSO...So many reasons for this. It would take an eternity to tell!!  I came out of this weekend thinking >> Please don't be hard on yourself, be nice ALL the time and be forever Grateful regardless of what is going on in your life..........Love to my friends and thanks to the band and crew for their deadication, helping us love this music again!!!!

I love multi night runs but one thing I also love about DSO sometimes hits town other bands don’t. We do 3 night run in Denver, Chicago, Philadelphia, New York. You won’t get Penns or Indy or Fort Wayne or those dumps in Jersey. 3 nights DC means no Richmond no Norva.

I love that DSO has taken me all over. Huntington, WV waterfront was cool. How bout Driggs, ID.

Omaha was first place I laid eyes on my lady. One of the first nights we hung out was somewhere in Indiana on a venue change. Evansville maybe. I think 2muchfun from around those parts.

    Did u say Driggs :)

2nd this. I'm guessing they would do this if they could, there's no way it's more profitable to burn fossil fuels doing one night stands.

thanks for saying this > so true my friend..

Jesus Christ, man. Eleven shows and this is all you have to say. Are you under a restraining or gag order? I mean, I could understand if that’s the case, and the ankle bracelet must have a pretty long range then. Tell Albany I say hey, please.

    Love you, buddy!! 😃🕺🏼🕺🏼

...other times I can bear .....ly see....

Finally Birdsong and the other one get their well deserved (and long overdue) pairing. To open the show no less. Things are getting real good in DSO land.  Kudos Dino

pretty CERTAIN this has been done several times before but indeed, sick! Especially in that slot!

I think John Mayer is getting it. Can there be too much awareness?  We are all better by the transformative nature of this music. I’ve been saying for a couple of years that the tone d Mayer’s guitar was all wrong. He has figured that one out, too. It sounded great this past weekend. And I cracked up as Bobby’s eyes cut over towards Mayer as he did his own flourish, one of his lead runs, during Ripple encore. He is getting his own wings within the construct of the music. .

    and there’s this

Well we will trade in the usual Portland double header for a raucous saturday Eve in Eugene (The recent years on Monday night have still been full throttle!)...and Bend,,,wow, wasn't expecting that simple twist. Methinks it's been at least a dozen years, likely more, since they hit the high desert out there...

    Aahland Tuesday night, good.

Lotta Miles but let's do it.

dude, as long as your posse is with you, im in...i don't care if they push me out of the way either,,,,which they do..often...

  10. Decided about 5 months ago to attend Mountain Sol Festy in Felton, CA...essentially Santa Cruz mountains....GRANOLA central.....easily the most hippy vibe I've even been apart of :)  Ran into JK...so glad he has found a home with JGB....sick shit...He needs to be turned up..reminded me of Furthur a bit but Phil wasn't there? Next night GGW was loud and on point....must mention Billy Strings and Turquaz...Turquaz is amazing!!! Then onto Bobby and Wolf Bros....so raw, so good...the dance was epic....saw some dso peeps and the Bobby tour friends of course...need to go out west more often...energy there is REAL! Bobby ended night with Brokedown..only hours before RH's death...so sad but what timing.....We will miss him so much but songs are forever!!!!! LOVE
