  1. Good Times Feel Like a Stranger It Takes a Lot to Laugh, It Takes a Train to Cry Next Time You See Me When I Paint My Masterpiece Big Railroad Blues Lazy Lightning Supplication Might as Well Cats Under the Stars Unbroken Chain Uncle John’s Band > China Cat Sunflower > Corrina > Drums/Space > Mission in the Rain> All Along the Watchtower> UJB Reprise Lovelight (pigpen style) encore: Golden Road to unlimited devotion (elective set) First of a run of Cali shows with Stu Allen sitting in for Jeff, at the posh Mountain Winery in swanky Saratoga overlooking Silicon Valley. as a capital J “Jeff guy” let me say that Stu integrated with the boys near-seamlessly. Great onstage communication, real gone jams, and some novel, well-executed transitions - particularly the segue from China Cat into Corrina. Venue is breathtaking - the old Paul Masson winery built in 1852. Mighty old for the west coast. Surrounded by vineyards, astonishing views, and a very small, intimate amphitheater. Bathrooms and water refills were kind of a trek. Security up front were pretty aggressive about keeping aisles clear and checking tickets for empty seats. But we know how to have a good time so we worked around it. I’m not going to Days Between this year but I expect nothing but excitement from this Stu-pid awesome configuration.

  2. Roger Waters was too heavy on the radio hits. Did get an enjoyable The Powers That Be from the Radio KAOS album into The Bravery of Being Out of Range. Way up high are the best seats for this in the round production. Very Bloodyband gory. It was a good show,. go run and see.. definitely his last run , just wish he did only solo material. Fortunately no drunken screamers near us

  3. From DSO: Everyone from the DSO Family is sending condolences and supportive vibrations to Jeff Mattson as there has been a death in his family. Jeff has returned home to be with his family during this time. Starting tonight and for our three remaining California shows, Stu Allen will fill in on lead guitar & vocals at the Mountain Winery in Saratoga and both nights at The Days Between Festival. We are grateful for your understanding and for our wider community that comes together in times like this to support each other when it's needed most. Hang in there, Jeff - We love you ❤ I wish you peace and healing during this sorrowful time.

  5. Thank you Tea! It was a very special night of spacious outdoor dancing in a kickass amphitheater that holds 8,000 and had about 3,000 there…show played to absolute crisp perfection,,Band seemed to love playing on the nice large stage. We kind of felt like a 2-3 night run in Bend might be the ultimate… Great river swimming in the heat pre-show. Primo venue. I love love loved this night all around and to get the piece of my heart just threw it right over the top… fantastical Saturday night!!
