Some would love a Summer 85 Boxset release this year. Praise DSO.

Band announced second set list before they started. While I don't know every note of the Woodstock set, to me sounded like every effort was made to accurately recreate, and you felt it. With that said, would not doubt our band delivered it even better than the original. Those two statements are a complete contradiction, its kind of hard to describe. Are there any better words heard than, "We have a whole bunch of time left" after two wonderful sets of Grateful Dead music? And when they jump back into it with Allligator, the primal parade continues. Just sprinkles on top. Eleven crushed. Close with Woodstock at Woodstock. Music ends. Unreal. Dream world. Fill your water bottle one last time, drive 5 hours home, put everything away, shower, sit down on your couch. Did that all really happen? I am on the happy side of 200 DSO shows seen and may have to look very hard at my inventory to find a better example of all the spokes working in harmony. What a night. I know I say it lot, but geez. Praise DSO.

A little birdie had told me in Deerfield the goods may be delivered in Bethel, that bird really knew what he was talking about. The show experience has many spokes--venue, dance space, company, headspace, setlist--last night pegged the needle on all of them. Call out sick to work, Chase the primal. The 69 in Wilmington disguised itself well during the first set, Friend of Mine second set opener the clincher. This one did not disguise. After a China>Rider opener, the Schoolgirl clearly announced the ride we were in for. The keystone of the show the beautifully crafted first set elective chock full of primal, deep cuts, Cryptical sandwich sans Other One, the emotional rollercoaster of Death Don't>Dancin', and a hammer down Viola to close the set. We had a great group behind the soundboard enjoying life affirming music with the backdrop of a perfect summer evening in upstate NY. Set Break.

Tour opens with a mid eighties recreation at a lovely old opera house downtown. First set littered with fine selections, can't go wrong with Jack Straw, I dig Big Railroad. Bird Song stretched out nicely, as did the Let It Grow. Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring teases before second opened, a nod to the surroundings. Recently, the first few notes of China Cat have really been the rush, and this one did not disappoint. Rest period Ship, Women had a nice groove, band really picked up momentum after Space. Top shelf Fantasy, Pete delivered the goods. Do It appropriate surprise and Sugar Mags a lock down closer. Lisa deployed as secret weapon to close the precedings. After all the talk a few threads over about dance space and getting there. Thought I would share. Theatres are tricky. Slanted floors. Closed doors. Blocking others view of the band. Needless to say there are obstacles. Happy to report I found a triangle oasis behind the seats upstairs Skip's side that provided more than adequate space with killer sound. It took me most of the first set to get my center, but was locked in for the second. Thanks Band and Crew. Praise DSO.

Wonder what brought that on. Had they been fiddling around with Charlie on soundchecks? They played a fine show on 69/02/27, guess I'll give them a pass. Praise DSO.

Sorry to hear of your less than stellar show experience. Proportional dancing needs to be observed by all at densely populated shows. Hoping your next spin provides adequate twirling space. Praise DSO.
